Hello everyone how are we all

just like to get one thing cleat that this will not help you with some epic gaylord cheese flyer army haha but your average 1 to 2 or maybe 3 flyer friendly game. Im really just looking to get my ideas and opinions out to you all and would appreciate your feedback and own valued opionions.

Now without furthure adue, within the last month I have seen many of my fellow gamers come to hate the new flyers which is fair enough. But many of them hate them so much that they actually belive that if the other opponent has flyers there is no victory to be had at all, in short they are scared of flyers. Now please bear with me as ive had thios in my head for a long time haha. Every sunday at my club I am seeing people constantly taking terrible and poorly thought out lists that they belive are "anti flyer" which may be okay if you are experimenting at a tournement, but no these are just friendly games with only 1 to 2 flyers on the bored.

An example if you will, my friend that i versed just the other day knew that i was going to be using my vendetta (the only flyer i will ever need) just one, not even a flyer list. He immediatly went nazi anti flyer and changed a perfectly good list that had won him many games in the past for one damn model, thats it one model. now i let him use my bastion with a icarus lascannon, that is fine absolutely, thats all he needed to make his army adaptable to combat one flyer. but he changed his good mixture of armoued and footslogging elements and to combat one flyer went all footslogging (guard). now he didnt account for the rest of my army, he was so scared of my flyer that he completely forgot about the rest of my army, my 80 guardsmen my 3 LRBT and my manticore. They slaughtered his army, the vendetta got one kill thats it, he decided it would be better to try and combat one unit then to take on my entire army and he paid for it.

What im trying to say here is that you need to make your armies dynamic, not focus on one enemy unit and build a list around combating that. I already had anti infantry, and anti mech and i got one good flyer to combat other flyers and personally i belive i have achieved perfect dynamism and i generally win most of my games now all my buddy needed to do was to take that bastion and be done with it, focus that one the vendetta and then his army would have been good, but instead he swapped out all of his vehicles for massed infantry and that allowed the rest of my army to take them out piece meal. now even if you only have an aegis deence line with a guad gun, beleive me that is enough. You truely dont need to go overboard and spam anti flyer by swapping out your good solid units in fear for other units just to nerf one damn model.

Welcome to the world of 40k man. EVERY SINGLE TIME something new comes out, this is what happens. People gak their pants and go crazy over them (though I still mostly agree on the GK cheese) Its just how the world of 40k games go. I agree, with 1 or 2 fliers, its nothing to really worry about, at those numbers they are basically support, adding a few more wounds to a unit over another unit. So in small numbers, people are nuts. In huge flier spam lists, yea, it sucks and there isnt too much you can do about it until we all get weapons that have sky fire. Im still not sure why GW doesnt WD some weapons for every army or at the very least toss a couple into the FAQ. Someday, but knowing GW, Ill have my new Codex by the time that happens

yeh man haha its so annoy, I was playing a game with someone with my vendetta and im kidding all he did was sit there and complain, he didnt even bother playing the game! haha

Its all a fad. I remember when the Nids dex first dropped, people swore up and down they were broken............Tyranids.......broken.......really? I think their dex is pretty good, specially in capable hands, but broken? Not even remotely close. Again, once we all have access to some Skyfire and the like, these uber flier lists will go the way of the dodo. Sure we will still see fliers, thats a given, but it wont be like it is now, because some lowly guardsmen will just take missile launchers everywhere that can take them down.

I would laugh if someone tailored an army list to beat my 2 dakkajets considering even boltguns can hurt them. I have only had one game against a 6 flyer necron list with a unit of wraiths and I performed quite well. The thing that you have to do is create a balanced list that does have some anti-flyer but is able to take on other things as well otherwise you'll get steam rolled focusing on one thing.

Flakk missles + champion on the gun behind an aegis wall. Soooooo OP. I mean they kill you fliers on your turn...

We had a scratch game this weekend. One of our new players turned up a bit late so we decided to go 2x500pt vs 1000pt. Probably a bad idea! The 1000pt list was 'nids with a a hive tyrant (plus lots of other nasty stuff), and our 2x 500pt lists had very little to combat it. In the end we had to wait for him to land, but in the meantime we took out all his Troops preventing him gaining objectives. Would have been easy to throw our hands up and rage quit, but we did pretty well considering we were outmatched.

Best thing about flakk missile, the ML is still just as good at killing everything else short of 2+ save models.

hahaha funny that you should say that a lowly guardsman with a ML could take out a flyer, because my ML HWS took out a vendetta today hahaha, and yeh i understand what everyone is saying and im glad people are on the same page as me and im not slowly losing my mind haha
