I picked up the new chaos 6th ed codex last night and even though i was utterly disappointed that we still dont have the technology to make or apparently steal or use drop pods , i just shook my head and gave into my rage and decided to play the underdog army. I play 1500 point games always.

HQ - Kharn the Betrayer

TROOPS - 1. Squad of Khorne berzerkers x8, Champ with PW, Rhino. 2. Squad of Khorne berzerkers x8, Champ with PW. CSM x10, Lascannon, Melta gun, MON, Rhino . This gives me a total of 3 scoring units in army.

ELITES - 2x Hellbrute Bare bones on these guys.

HEAVY SUPPORT - Landraider, Kharn and 1 squad of Berzerkers go in here. Predator with TL Lascanon turret, HB sponsons. Vindicator + bolter ( for weapon destroyed protection )

So i surprisingly have a far bit of anti armor, Lots of Lascanons and meltas. I have counter assault units, some ordinance to roll onto the field around turn 3 when its safer.

What do you guys think of this list how would you improve it?

Pretty hard to have drop pods when your ships are Space Hulks and Ancient One star killers.

I'd say have a go with regular CSM with marks of khaneKHORNE and other goodies thrown on. Cheaper and POSSIBLY better.

Haven't seen the codex yet but going off all of the others, putting a twin laz turret on a pred is crap compared to having a pread with autocannon and two lazcannon sponsons. The math-hammer is on the side of more guns and since you'll be paying about the same, more is more.

Okay math hammer noted.

The main TL Lascannon is a lot cheaper in the CSM book. Close to half the cost.
But keeping the Auto Cannon still probably better

I had another look at my list, i made some changes to get in more meltas.

This lists anti armour : 2x Twin Linked Lascanon, 2 Normal Lascanons, 1 Demolisher canon, 1 Autocanon, 2x Multi melta, 4x Meltagun. And lastly Kharn's Gorechild has armourbane, & Hellbrute's power fists.

This lists anti infantry : 1 Twin Linked heavy bolter, Berzerkers, Kharn, CSM.

Assault units : Kharn and Berzerkers ride in Landraider to toughest objective with the rhino of MOK CSM. Hellbrute's as well.

Rearguard / support : My opponents love to deepstrike terminators into my backfield with a good spacing my Hellbrute's will be crucial in adding to my backbone. The vindicator will be a midfield center piece taking advantage of solid cover, and trying to land a pie plate on my enemies favored Veterans and their AP 3 bolters.

MON CSM : These guys are either going to be a midfield squad or one closer to home base, we will see i suppose.
