Hi, Chaos Vehicles Equipement's entry says ''A model can take up to one of each of the following''.

My questions is, may the model take something in the list he already has.

For exemple: a chaos rhino has a combi-bolter and I want to add a combi-bolter and a havoc launcher.

If it already has it, then it has taken it already, and as such cannot take it again.

i think you can buy a combi bolter thus having 2 combi bolters and a havoc laucher.

The 4E codex allowed for a second combi-bolter, so there's not much new there.

agreed. It doesn't say it cannot buy it. Why are you not moving with your TRANSPORTS? go ram stuff, much more fun after which the enemy cannot over watch :p

According to the unfaq'd codec you can actually run a rhino with all the options for 117 pts total if you like. It would give it a total of two Combi-bolters, a Combi weapon and a havoc launcher.
Also nothing is stopping a defiler from taking a havoc launcher for without exchanging a weapon RAW.

I don't think they thought this one through ^^

Defiler lost one of its Dready Power fists though, makes me sad I will have to remodel my bipedal fourarmed dread to have a power scourge. Mind you the power scourges rules are beastly so I'm not that disappointed. On the flip side you could take the Deffy Havoc then add another from the vehicle armoury for double havoc fun. I dig the idea of giving it a Dirge caster though, its evil.

3 DCCWs, power scourge, dirge caster, combi-flamer, combi bolter and a battle cannon. Super fun happy defiler! Sure it costs more than a land raider but it is way more fun to use.

Probably looks much cooler as well.

Unfortunately, that awesome Defiler would only be able to snapshot all its other weapons after using its battlecannon.

i would just take the extra weapons to keep the battle cannon safe.

Yes, you can buy a second Combi-bolter.

Just like loyalist Rhinos can purchase a second Stormbolter.

So you could end up with a Rhino with 2 Combi-bolter, combi-weapon, and a Havoc launcher. quite a loadout, makes up for not having razorbacks.

Where as it couldn't fire them at all in 5th, BS1 is better than not firing at all. And not to mention if the battle cannon gets knocked out then you got back ups in addition to the assault beast that it is. Can fire the combibolter and Use Wall of Fire with its combiflamer if assaulted and if its close enough it nullifies overwatch when anything charges the enemy unit in range. Its evil. The only thing that makes it more evil is if was flanked by maulterfiends with lasher tendrils (just don't get them into BtB with the defiler).

I have a giggle when I think about the Defiler rolling a 3 on the Scourge. "And your dreadnought is WS one, WS 3 is looking pretty nice about now isnt it?" lol

As expensive as It would be 2-3 defilers with scourges would ruin people lol minus 3-9WS, evil.

Scourges don't stack. Its only 1D3 regardless of how many are involved.

Odd, it didn't preclude it specifically if i recall correctly. Just said -D3 for each model in BTB with a power scourge. Or did it say one or more? Going from memory of reading it day before yesterday in a mates codex. Its one or more isnt it? lol

Ether way, the rest is mighty evil and doesn't take into account the I repair hull points (well potentially one per turn) automatically and now I get a 5+ invulnerable save evilness.

The one D3 roll satisfies all Power Scourges.

The only way I can see them stacking is if you have 2 different Scourge armed models in BtB with the same model.

Well yeah, that's what I said lol. I'm pretty sure you can't get more than one scourge per defiler anyway.

Correct, but Hellbrutes can get multiple Scouges.

It's nice that you dont even have to use the scourge to get the effect. Though the upgrade for the inbuilt weapons is worded stangely on the Helbrute... do you need both fists or do you get it in each fist if you purchase the upgrade.

If you have a fist, you can upgrade. For far too many points.

They dont want people buying dreadnoughts - more expensive, slightly better and slightly worse (no longer shoot your own models, but fewer attacks) and heavy flamers are stupidly expensive.
