Our group is planning on starting a 1000pt League in the new year. Does anyone have a set of League rules they could share, or just any advice on things you've seen that worked well, or didn't?
One suggestion: if you don't bring a written army list with you when you arrive, you lose automatically. The last league I played in didn't have any rule like that, and it was really frustrating to have people list tailoring against me after pairings were known.
There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
Some sort of mechanism to defeat slippery slope would be good. Perhaps wins against people with better records count for more. Otherwise, people lose a few games and stop showing up.
