I was wondering what would be the most likely to include in a Thousand Sons army. The obvious of cousre:
Ahriman
Chaos Sorcerer
Daemon Prince
Terminators
Helbrute
Rubric Marines
Cultists
Spawn
and assorted tanks
but what else would be good?

Thousand Sons can more or less use anything besides stuff like Berzerkers/Plague Marines/Noise Marines/etc.. Everything else can be chalked up to rubric marines (rubric terminators, rubric bikers, and so on) or sorcerer enhancements (for instance, 1K Sons have predators with Daemon drivers bound by their sorcerers). Even cultists could be Tzeentch cultists.

The deamon engines are going to be strange. Even as a legion the Thousand Sons rarely had well maintained vehicle pools. I think it was one of the HH books that had them working alongside the Legio Cybernetica though so that could go either way. Their terminator units if I recall were called Scarabs.

The Thousand Sons had specific siege engines created to blow open the door of the Fang in Battle of the Fang. So they have some connection to the Dark Mech' . Enoughto have anything that availible in the new codex. Including the robots used in A Thousand Sons and Battle of the Fang

Cataphracts; they're part of the Legio Cybernetica IIRC.

Daemon Engines are Daemon Engines afterall. Who'se to say it isn't a Tzeentch Daemon piloting the thing.
Plus it could just be that they hired the Daemon Engine like everyone else.
Really the only thing that wouldn't be fluffy would be to have other Cult units, especially Nurgle as Tzeentch and Nurgle are enemies.

I was wondering about the engines. I know the thousand sons had a defiler but wasn't sure about if they used any others.
I gatta ask was the battle of the fang any good of a read?

I would think they would have chunks of Thousand Son marines plus terminators mostly. Maybe no Cultists for a 1k sons either. For the Battle of the Fang thing, maybe use Vindicators.

I've read it and thought it was a really good novel that portrayed both sides well and thoroughly represented the battle.
From what I've seen most people seem to agree and believe it's one of the best Space Marine Battles novels...
