We've all heard some sort of smart-assed joke about Skyrim dragons since the Helldrake started showing it's ugly mug. Haven't really thought much of it lately, but..
A few minutes ago, some friends and I were having some coffee with the music on "shuffle" and Watch the Skies from the Skyrim soundtrack starts playing when I pulled the Helldrake out of the gaming bag.
That's actually terrifying considering that it went from playing Van Halen or Portal 2 music.
Excuse me while I change my pants.

Wow....that sounds.......cool I guess. Never heard anything about Skyrim jokes about the helldrakes, but whenever some one mentions one of the demon engines my friend makes the transformer noise.

I don't intend on mentioning the other demon engines much

The other one is good too...apparently "One They Fear", that's my favorite.
Too bad the dragons are all huge pussies, though. Fights never last more than literally a few seconds now since I just use Dragonrend and hit them with my sword 3-4 times. Kinda ruins the whole "epic" feel. Then again I guess you could argue that the fact that you practically kill enough dragons to wipe out their entire race twice over also kinda ruins it...
I still like Skyrim but the game has many, many flaws. KINDA LIKE 40K LOL. Except not as broken. Even with all the glitches. :3

O.o
Dragonrend? PM me, if you would?
I am not very good at games because I explore more than, you know, actually do well.

Anyway, dragons aren't that non-threatening. Elder Dragons are complete donkey-caves, for one thing. You know how most dragons land, letting you punch them for a few times? Elder dragons rarely do that. But yeah, Skyrim is a bit flawed. It completely fails at being an RPG for one thing, though it is a good action-adventure game.

That's why I enjoy playing magic users. Lightning bolts, fireballs, that kind of thing.
Oh, and the fact that Dragonrend actually forces them to land so you can get close and personal.

I know that. That's the easy part.
Its getting close enough without getting barbequed that's the hard part. Granted, I was vampire, and it was in the day.
The second Elder Dragon I fought was a frost breathing type, and that was at night. So much easier.

Oh!
Never played as one of the Vampyr. Only stayed a Werewolf long enough to do Hircine's quest.
Never had any particular trouble with any of the game's Dragons TBH as I didn't worry particularly about them, fought them whenever I saw one, had enough souls to 'buy' powers as I discovered the word walls, and always had enough skill in enchanting and enough stamina to take a couple of sets of armour with me, one resistant to fire, the other resistant to cold. And when I had maxed my enchanting, a single set resistant to both.
Warriors I levelled Health and Stamina equally, Mages I increased Stamina about 5 times to Magika once. Then my mages concentrated on a maximum of 2 types of magic, usually Destruction and Restoration, and kept adding almost all perks to them. This means a quick reduction of spell costs and the points I put into enchanting meant I could soon craft items which reduced the costs still further - reducing the need for a massive Magika pool.
