So I think I've got my 1500pt list hammered out but I want to scale it up. Let me know what you think. My plan is for both HQs to go in the landraider to basically a tactical nuke of a unit. Still have 30pts left over, not sure if I should just buy 3 mutation rolls or some other upgrades.

The plasma gun lascannon power sword load out is a little weird to me. I feel like points could be better spent buying upgrades for your pseudo deathball. I also think you'd be better served with more havocs to benefit from your defense line and huge number of meq guys than the one off vindicator. You could use the reach they provide!
Might also be better served with some power fists in your cult squads. I assume they'll all have made it to midfield at some point.
How are your csm squads armed?

For the CSMs, the las/plas squad is armed with bolters (ie base), and the MoK squad has BP & CCWs.
At the las/plas squad it is a great objective holder whether in cover or behind the defense line and is darn good for that role.
I'm not sure of the MoK marines, not from effectiveness, but whether my berserker nuke needs the support so I'm open to change the,.

This list is fine, mostly because of the way Marking a unit works now.
I say roll with it. I love how lists like this would have been laughed at a few weeks ago.

The only thing is though that you'll have to either be close enough in to use the Plasma Gun that the Lascannon is hindering the units potential, since (I think) the Plas is Rapid Fire, and vice-vursa, if you're far away enough to be getting a few shots off with the Las, you're not close enough to use the Plas.
You'd probably be better off going all or nothing on squads with those kind of weapons so you don't have an awkward mid-distance between them both.

Good point, but at least the lascannon could pop shot something from far away and Tactical terminators (which I think we all see a lot more of in 6th) would think twice about deepstriking next to that unit because of the single plasmagun plus all the bolters.
I think that one unit is a little unfocused yes, but not enough to cause a problem because its point cost is still great.

I don't think both of your HQs can be in the same unit. ICs with a Mark can't join units that have a different mark.

It'd be worth testing that one for yourself and if it works, keep it

Don't get me wrong, I'm the same as you when it comes to that sort of squad load-out.. I just know when I see something like that in a list, it's probably because someone has the WYSIWYG and I don't want people to change a list if they like abiding by that stuff and only have certain minis
