Well I just got orders cut to the 25th ID out of schofield barracks in Hawaii. I was wondering if there are any gamers, game stores, or game clubs that play flames of war and or Warhammer 40k there. Thanks for any respones.

I know for sure that Armchair Adventurer on Kalani Street sells Flames of War and GW stuff.

There's also Other Realms in Victoria Ward Center on Ala Moana Blvd. I know they sell GW merchandise, but I don't recall them having Flames of War. But then again, I never really tried looking... Their site.

Other than that, I really can't think of any other shop specifically for wargaming. I'm pretty darn sure you won't have trouble finding people to play with, though. IIRC, service members are GW's biggest demographic in the US. You could probably find plenty of gamers on base. I see military folks at both of those shops all the time, as well as at the weekly Monday Night Gaming that Other Realms hosts in the conference room across the parking lot from the main store.

Urduk can you put Armchair into the store finder? Always best to have it up to date.

thanks for all the replies, I noticed 3 gaming stores on the GW website, or maybe it was 2 and a gaming club. Are there a lot of tournaments held at the stores or no?

I have absolutely no idea what "Armchair Adventures" is... It sounds too close to Armchair Adventurer to be a real shop. Might be a mistake. Of course, I can just drop by sometime this week since it appears to be in the strip mall near Armchair Adventurer.

Other Realms holds quarterly Games Day events. The latest one was June 2nd of this year. Don't know exactly when the next one will be. They usually host the tourneys too. Might want to call them to be sure.

Tons of people play 40k at other realms, they have a few games days a year usually on Sundays. They also rent out a couple conference rooms for gaming every Monday afternoon. I don't personally know who or what plays flames of war but I do know Armchair Adventurer sells a lot of it. Also we have a pretty large gaming community at hawaiigamers.net. Come introduce yourself and say hi!
