So if i have a choas sorcerer in terminator armor they have a 2+ armor save with a 5+ invuln save
Then if i take sigil of corruption that give me a 4+ invuln save, and if i add the mark of tzeentzch to that i should have a
2+ armor save with a 3+ invulnerable save right?

That's up to you to decide.

If you need a 3++ (say lots of plasma), then maybe it'd come in handy. However, I'd just roll a 2+ and shove the wound onto a lackey.

Of course, YMMV.

He's talking about the total cost of the Terminator Armour, Sigil of Corruption and the Mark of Tzeentch. Of course, if you just want the 3+ invulnerable save, you can elect to skip the Terminator Armour.

Indeed, howvre you also want the 15 point spell familiar to avoid detah by perils, which is probably the most likely way they'll die!

Well, a spell familiar only helps with a double 6, as a double 1 isn't a failed Psychic test.

Halving your odds of death through perils, now you no longer get any save at all, is pretty good... Also helps when playing against Eldar

So for 200 points in a 1500 point list i have my HQ as

Chaos Sorcerer with
Terminator Armour ( SV 2+)
Combi Bolter
Force Stave
Sigil of Corruption (Invuln SV 4+)
Mark of Tzeentch (moves that to 3+)
Spell Familiar
Gift of mutation
and psker lvl 3

of course frag/krak grenades, and what not.

i dont think thats bad for 200 points at all, i was gonna do a demon prince,
but they cant take a mark and to make him like i want would be about 360 points, too expensive for only a +5 invuln save

im pretty happy with my sorcerer, thought about the scroll of magnus but doesnt seem worth it to me, just too random to really be useful IMO

No frag / krak, reread the terminator entry again.

They dont wnat to sell daemon prince models anymore - given they dont unlock cultists as troops anymore.

Ah my mistake, i see it says replace ALL wargear, thanks for the heads up, never really use grenades with HQ models anyhow, but thanks none the less,
and in the new codex the cultist are troops, what are you saying?

It kinda sucks cause i used to run a demon prince psyker and ahriman as my hq in a 2000 point army list, but now they are just too expensive,
i mean if you are willing to pay for them they can be animals but its cost isnt nearly what they are worth, i just know with a double strength AP 2 hit
while he's wielding the black mace you can kill alotta guys in one go.... just sayin, but wings for 40 points, holy hell, its just too much of a hassel

( both of my princes have wings so it sucks for me)

Cultist Space Marines. You need a lord / sorceror now - meaning I cant run double khorne DP with my bezerkers, unlike the last 7 years (ok, single DP before - but you know what i mean )

Especially given the 80 point upgrade cost to get a Khorne DP from the previous book. 220 points is not worth it for T5 3+ save

They made 6th even more shooting oriented than 5th, and massively overcost close combat options in the first 6th ed codex. Shame

yeah i understand what you mean now,
my thoughts on that is those people who do pay the high points for the stronger melee models will have a field day
if they ever get to close the distance and get up close and personal with some of the softer shooty units,

Not a hope of getting there - T5 with a 3+ doesnt cut it in 6th. It didnt cut it for much of 5th either

Flying doesnt help a huge amount, given Grounding
