Hey there so i want to make an Irish themed Merc's army and since its irish themed it needs to be based around the rover jack so i was wondering what caster i should use for this list and what i should include. its a 50 point list that needs to be adaptable for high points lists.

I suggest:

Broadsides Bart and then go the route of

2 Rovers
Dougal
Wrongeye (already got the booze) and Snapjaw

w/e else you want, something like full kayazy + UA for competitive play.

So its a high armor army (batten down the hatches and spiny growth on 2 rovers is 2 armor 24 models I believe) that shoots you at ranged some with dougal artllerist one each turn with high defense infantry clogging the lanes and being a nuisance. This army can be done at only 35 pts well, so that leaves plenty of extra room to add whatever you want to complete your theme, maybe some little people of some sort or what not.

Yeah that looks great. I was hoping to get some steelheads in there and also one or two other jacks but yes looking at it now i like it allot.

Also is there any other casters you recommend for this build?

If you want to use steelheads, then looking at Damiano might be a good idea, also if you want to do something like 1 rover and rociante instead of 2 rovers thats probably a more competitive list.

Drake or either Magus might be worth looking into also in terms of warcasters in mercs.

I looked at Drake and i Liked what I saw and he would make the Rovers Very hard to take down and also his last name is MaCbain so he goes along with the Irish theme to the force but ill look into both of them. the steelheads i wanted were the long gunner guys and the Cavalry unit cause im good with them.
