This is for a team tournament my ally is dark eldar.

Typhus 230

Level 2 Nurgle sorc with terminator armor 125

15 zombies 70
10 zombies 50
10 zombies 50

2 Nurgle oblits vet of the long war 158
2 Nurgle oblits vet of the long war 158
2 Nurgle oblits vet of the long war 158

Total pts: 999

What do you all think? The sorc just added some punch i think that i needed but i dont like that he feels out of place in this list and I am worried about the offensive power of the list. Anyone got any ideas on a way to increase the offensive power of the list?

Alright guys this just got quite a bit harder. I have been informed that the tournament is:

1 HQ
0-1 Elite
2-6 Troops
0-1 Fast attack
0-1 Heavy

So now I have to build a list fitting those requirements which kind of hurts the new csm imo.

After retooling the list I have come up with an all nurgle force that I think will supplement my DE allies well.

Typhus 230

8 Plague marines with 2 plasma guns, VotLW, Gift of Mutation for the champion
Rhino w/ Havoc Launcher

10 Plague Zombies
10 Plague Zombies

20 Cultist of Nurgle with 2 flamers

3 Oblits of Nurgle w/ VotLW

Total Roster: 997

What do you all think? Would appreciate any opinions. I need to have solid objective holders and still have the ability to put out some damage if needed. I can use the 2 zombie units to sit on objectives and I can either advance the rhino with Typhus and the plague mariners or I can place Typhus in the cultist squad and run them head long into the enemy. I have debated whether or not zombies are better then nurgle cultist. Nurgle cultist are tougher but lose fearless and FnP. In addition, cultist have 2 attacks each base with pistol and CCW.

I have liked the 20 man cultist unit with 2 flamers in the one game I've played so far. Although I ran mine next to a Dark Apostle for the leadership buff. Typhus in that unit would provide a similar boost.

note however, that Typhus is unable to move in the Rhino, his terminator armour prevents him that (unfortunately)

I dont see why you need zombies? its costing you over 200 points to get them in the first place! if someone said ill make you 30 zombies for 200+ point i'd say thats ridiculous!
Typhus is nasty but you don't need him. just a nurgle lord will do.
Don't quite understand what the scorcerer brings to the table? Is there a nurgle power your after? if not, drop him too.
With a nurgle lord you can load up on plauge marines for troops. After that, strengths:
Elites - terminators followed by cult marines.
fast attack - bikes followed by raptors
heavy. - oblits followed by havocs

My rough list
HQ- nurgle terminator lord
Troops - 2x10 plague marines
Elites - 3x terminators
fast attack - none
heavy support - 3x olbits

Gives you 100+ points to upgrade terminator unit.

A couple of reasons. I am running zombies for fearless objective holders for 50 points. I like typhus over thd nurgle lord because of the psychic buffs he brings along with horde control. Im only allowed 1 hq. My buddy is bringing the offense im bringing the survivability.

I have looked at several options but it is hard to replace typhus.

He helps my deny the witch roles.
comes at T5 with a 2+/5+/5+ and 3 wounds
He brings anywhere from 4-10 S6 ap2 attacks per combat
An ability to send out an ap2 blast in combat
Anti-marine psychic powers
The ability to make cultist fearless zombies
The ability to make plague marines troops

Keep in mind im only allotted one hq and the biggest concern with my list is dealing with MEQ something that I believe he helps solve.

For troop choises check out Beast Of War's video on troops. They are really into 20 man CSM squads now, with Fearles and CC weapons.

I ended uo running the revised list above. For 50pts plague zombies are great objective holders but aren't good for much more then that unless you can run them in a big block. The nurgle cultist and typhus preformed well. Plague marines did their job well poison weapons really improve their combat effectiveness. Lastly having T5 oblits saved me a lot. We ended up taking first playing 3 tough matches.
