Hello I love the fulff of the Black Templars and have decided to create my own army of them. My main goal is to have the razorbacks grouped with the Predators going up the sides of the field pushing the enemy towards the centre. The LRC ( which has the 10 initiates, martial, emperors champ and tech marine in it) will move up the middle of the field and push forwards with the terminators deepstiking where needed and same with the dreadnought. The 2 Land speeders just go where they are needed to open any light vehicles. I am still new to the game of 40k and would like to hear some insight on other BT players and what works for them.

HQ
Martial - Power weapon 95
Emperors Champ - Accept 140

Elite
5x Terminaors Assault ( 3 storm shields 2 lightning claws OR all storm shields undecided on this) 200
1 X techmarine - harness 105
Dreadnought - Multi Melta, Heavy Flamer, Drop Pod(Missle Launcher) 175

Troops
5x Initaite - bolters, Lascannons Plasma guns, Razorback ( Lascannon) 191
5x initate - Bolters, lascannon, plasma gun, Razorback ( lascannon) 191
10x Initate - CCW, Powerfist, (goes in LRC below) 175

Fast
Land Speeder- Multi Melta, Heavy Flamer 75

Heavy

Predator annihilator- Pintle mounted HB, side lascannons 155

A few pointers:

Marshall needs better armor, he gives Ld10 to everybody and can be a CC monster, I would spend more points on him (I suggest TDA, TH/SS, adamantine mantle)

If you're keeping your assault termies all TH/SS they are fine as is; if you're gonna have claws in there I would get the furious charge upgrade.

Dread are weaker in 6th edition now, if you absolutely want it I would upgrade to Venerable with tank hunter.

Our razorbacks are outrageously expensive, I would drop them to get said upgrades above or a 3rd initiate squad with LC and PG (they have range anyway, they don't need to move)

I would throw a meltagun in your big initiates squad.

I would get the typhoon land speeders as they are real cheap and add some firepower.

Final thought: you have 0 AA firepower, if you know you're not gonna meet any significant flyer list it's no big deal, if not I suggest ADL with quad-gun manned by 5 termies with 2 CMLs and tank hunter, they will shred just about anything at range.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
In terms of tactics:
Keep the LC initiates squads and predators in the back to shoot stuff up. Try to get the typhoon land speeders and use them to harass units while staying out of range of return fire.
Push forward with the LRC, dread and termies (on foot), I wouldn't deep strike the termies because there's still a small chance of a mishap and then they sit for a whole turn; use the LRC as line of sight blocker for the AP2 weapons.
With the termies and the assault squad make sure YOU get the charge to maximize your hits with Rage; that means careful pre-measuring will help.

Have fun!
