Imperial Recruit in Training
Blighty

Well not literally. This is my first time on the site as a member as I have only been on in the past just to look at the pics for ideas. Anyway I have done the 40k and fantasy hobby since I was a little sproglet. Currently have half of an Ultrasmurfs 2nd Company that wants adding to, the beginnings of a brand new Night Lords warband which hopefully will have any new squads wearing the bat helmets and shoulder pads and I also have a Dwarf army which is mostly of the Battle for Skull pass models with a Gryocopter and Rangers to bulk it out. Must finish these ones off at some point when I've settled into my new job in the army.
Took few years off to concentrate on college and since finishing last year I feel its time for me to get back into the hobby with style by doing what I've wanted to do for a while and start collecting an Imperial Guard Army. However it won't be a Cadian, Catachan or any of the usual armies you see everyone using nor will it be a Regiment I have completely made up. Using the Cadian models and a lot of Green Stuff, I will be creating a company of the 31st Harakoni Warhawks complete with respirators, goggles, knee pads, arm pads, bullpup lasguns (not the ones from Forge World) and Backpacks. I'll be basing the company organisation off the British Army's Infantry by having 4 platoons of 3 infantry squads with heavy weapons and special weapons squads, 2 veteran squads to bulk out the troop choices, 3 squads of Stormtroopers which I'll convert from the plastic cadian squad kit plus I'll be using squadrons of Leman Russ's and artillery. One of the Russ squadrons will compose of converted vanquishers and the other of Eradicators and Demolishers which will be converted to resemble the WW2 era Churchill tank. Will be posting my work in progress on the Dakka and P&M page so please do standby for updates.

Sorry but I'll be doing my phase 1 of training for the British Army then. Plus (if I was free) it'll be a very long walk for me since I hail from the Black Country but thanks for the invite though.
