So I posted this up in the news but since there is a lot of new Infinity players I thought I'd toss this out here too...

Just to clarify, I am not a spokes person for Modest Magic in the slightest, but I am a HUGE fan of the terrain. Did a maiden test run of the modular terrain with Infinity tonight and it surpassed all my hopes. It was really fun to build the board and played flawlessly as a catacomb type dungeon board.

The most mind blowing part is that is a VERY well playable Infinity board for $40

http://modestmagic.com/store
4 sets of Single Wall Piece (Qty 30) - $7.50 per set
1 set of Doorway Piece (Qty 10) - $2.50 per set
1 set of Battlement Piece (Qty 25) - $7.50 per set

$40 dollars is the same cost as some single buildings for infinity!!! If you are just getting into Infinity and need good terrain, gogogogogo.

Thats a really good price and could easily be used as a beginner level board for several systems!

I've looked at doing this type of terrain before using moulds but at this price its not worth the hassle of diy! They look plently thick enough to stack as well!

Hopefully i dont get smurfed on the postage!

Need more 's in my life!

What a superb idea. But it doesn't ship to the UK, gorrammit.

I still want some though, so I'll need some polysytrene foam now, I guess. It solves a lot of the storage space problems terrain can present (it's all flat pack), and would work well with my needs for terrain for both 28 and 54mm games - just create half* height spacers to fit under the walls to increase their height.

*Half because while a typical 54mm model is nominally about twice the height, 28mm is really more like 32mm from most manufacturers and 36mm when based, plus needs extra room for the mini mecha type things that tend to show up (TAGs, for example). 54mm tends to be more like 55-60mm when based, and doesn't tend to play host to heavier military hardware.
So, a 50mm ceiling would be good headroom for 28mm, a 75mm ceiling about right for 54mm. (Also, it'll work better with any windows.)

Did you shoot him a message on the site about overseas shipping?

For this board we just played it as the walls extended up infinitely so model height becomes a non-issue.

Nah, I didn't specifically shoot a message, just opened up the checkout screen to see if it'd do non-US addresses. Seems it wouldn't.

And wall height is more of a concern for if I want to make buildings (particularly multi-storey buildings), rather than catacombs.

International shipping should be coming to the store very soon. If I'm lucky very soon might be in like ten minutes :-)
