Looks good for a mostly mounted force, I personally prefer to see Brets with two Trebuchets and a large mob of Men at Arms but you have a well written list.

I assume Lord in with Errants
Caster in each of the KoTR to give MR
Paladins to complete numbers

I think your list looks really solid, I just have a few suggestions.

Because the Heartwood Lance gains +2 strength on the charge, you won' generally have as many re-rolls, this leads me to believe that the sword of strife for straight up +2 attacks would get you a higher chance of triggering HKB- especially if you pair it with the tress of isolude to generate more hits against difficult to hit targets (say a character with Fencer's Blades + Glittering Scales for instance). The Sword of Swift Slaying is also a good choice, as re-rolls to hit and ASF is pretty solid on a HKB dude.

I also think you would be better off with Lore of Life on your Prophetess, Throne of Vines means you don't need to worry about miscasts, and you can run the chalice of malfleur in your arcane items slot. Its pretty nice since it gets you a pretty consistant extra dispel dice, and you can heal off any backlash with lifebloom. You can also use her to pick up any dead knights, to help keep your ranks and attacks up.

I'd also look into getting a fast unit. I've had amazing luck with a Paladin on a Royal Pegasus, and I have heard that Mounted Yeomen and Pegasus Knights make excellent re-directors and war-machine hunters.

The KotR units are too small to utilize lance formation they need to be atleast 12 to get the most out of it, 15 recommended. Paladin when using BSB cannot carry additional equipment so he cant have that Helmet. Virute of heroism cannot be used with a magical weapon. 2 trebuchets is a must for brets, at 90 points and s5(10) you cannot beat it. It is probably the best warmachine in the game.

10k+ High Elf
6.5k Dwarf
7k Original Chaos Dwarf (not the crappy forge world)
6k Bretonnia
7k Wood Elf
6k Dark Elf
8k Tomb Kings
5k Beastmen
5k Lizardmen
7k Daemons of Chaos (roughly 2.5k all but Tzeentch, I find them useless in 8th other than flamers and heralds)
5.5k Empire

While that is true for the amount of attacks that the unit can put out it also increases the size of the flank, the cost of the unit and impacts strongly on the ability of the unit to freely manouver around the battlefield, personally I would never go above a complete lance of 12 and thats only in large point games to use up points.

IF he takes a magic banner that is the case, since he is not it is not an issue.

Virute of heroism cannot be used with a magical weapon.

The latests FAQ and Errata has made changes to the Virtue of Heroism so that It confers the HKB ability, the rest of the vow has been removed.

Yeah I'll give you that, 2 Trebuchets are golden

Good catch on that, its just the various mundane that he cannot have. But with Look out Sir rules, I don't believe that the helmet is too useful since you likely wont be dueling with a BSB, though the extra save makes up for the lack of a shield. The weapon though definately works.

(edit)
The size of lance, as in increasing the flank size is a very valid concern, but I think some careful planning and thoughtful movement really negates alot of the worry of being flanked. Especially since its so narrow that a lot of times normal formations block LoS of the knights when they are in CC.

So would it be a good idea to drop the knight errants for some men at arms?

And is it really a good idea to have three wizards? I am thinking maybe drop a damsel and change the Prophatess to life.

I would definately make sure you have a lvl 4 Prophetess of life just because brets are semi limited due to knights though reasonably priced are still expensive. I dont really see 3 wizards being good, I usually run a lvl 4 life and a lvl 2 beast, and hope I can turn the lvl 2 into a dragon or something rediculous.

Dropping the 8 Errants @ 201 points can produce a very healthy block of M@A, 38 with FC. This would be a pretty good option since you already have 3 blocks of KotR, and they are supplimented with characters.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
One other thing I might suggest is your lord choice. For 6 more points(240) you can get a hero geared towards slaughtering anything it comes into contact with, with a heavy focus on characters.

Lance(though you can scratch that and have it be 234 pts total, Shield, Gauntlet of the Duel, Armour of Agilulf, Sword of Swift Slaying, Heroism, Warhorse, Knights Vow.

This character can really do wonders against ogres and WoC.

But have the damsel with the men at arms, Or should I have a Paladin in there also?

You might as well put both in with the M@A just because there isn't going to be anywhere else for them to hide without mounts. Since regardless of the lore you take with damsel you will want her close to combat to make sure her spells are in range of what ever you need to use them on, by her self she'll just get slaughtered and putting her with bowmen won't accomplish much other than very limited target selection for spells.

Will the damsel have to be in the front rank though? Wont she just get whacked by the first opponent with a sharp stick that the MaA get in combat with?

Ya she has to be up front but refuse challenges and Look out Sir should keep her alive, as well as the blessing.
