HQ:
Swarmlord + Tyrant Guard - 340
Hive Tyrant w/ Wings, 2 TL Devourers - 260

Elites:
Doom of Malantai w/ Pod - 130
3 Zoanthrope - 180

Troops:
Tervigon w/ 3 Powers - 190
2x Tervigon w/ 3 Powers and Toxin - 200
3x 10 Termagant - 50

Fast:
25 Gargoyles - 150

Heavy:
Trygon - 200

All Psykers swap which results in 21 rolls with most devoted to biomancy. The Trygon deep strikes. The idea is to overwhelm the opponent with threats on turn 2, the Doom, Flyrant, Gargoyles, Trygon. During the meantime Swarmlord buffs and debuffs while Tervigons spawn and get into advantageous late-game positions. The list is very fast and extremely durable. Flyers are ignored.

Solid.

I won against a list similar to this the other night, but only because of luck. I had one miniature remaining on the board to claim an objective.

The bug army had the Tyrant, Swarmlord, zoes, and a Trygon left.

The gargoyles are interesting. You should be able to stop units when and where you want them to be stopped.

No one should complain that Tyranids suck. Granted, I have 6 Psykers normally so it's a bad matchup for me due to Shadow, andthey have plenty of other strengths that I struggle to deal with. It takes all of my experience to bring a list like this down.

The 10 powers a turn is great. And even against psychic defense i'll get off 4-5. 35 t6 wounds with meq saves is also quite substantial. Gargoyles can do lots of damage for their point cost and are fast enough to push the action.

Yep, I'd definitely run with that.
