My first list involving platoons:
HQ:
Captain Garek's Tauros- 60 points (basically a bs 4 tauros with a grenade launcher that can fire twice); he has a special rule that allows you to reroll one failed reserve roll per turn
Troops:
Platoon 1
PCS
1x meltagun
Infantry squad
1x meltaggun
demopack
Infantry squad
1x meltaggun
demopack
Drop Sentinel with multi melta
Platoon 2
PCS (mounted in Valkyrie)
1x Plasmagun
Infantry Squad
1x plasma gun
demo pack
Infantry Squad
1x plasma gun
demopack
drop sentinel with heavy bolter
Fast attack:
Vendetta
Vendetta
Vendetta
How is my list?

you definatly have the anti tank covered for sure One of your PCS squads says (mounted in Valkyrie) but I don't see that vehicle in your list. Is this a dedicated transport? If so what guns does it have. Also I see you having problems with an Infintry heavy army. the only horde control you have in the list is the 2 demo charges and those are only one shots so they just have to remain spread out to limit the damage until those guys land. Pernonaly I'd find a way to fit a few flamers into the list or change a Vendetta to a Multi rocket Valk. at 1k pts. you have over done your Anti-tank. Also the Sentinel with a Heavy bolter seems kind of weak, it's a lot of points for something that will only get 1.5 hits a turn, I'd at least make it a muti laser lets be honest there isn't much out there that is Armor 4+ any way. and the higher str. gives you more likely targets. even threatens light vehicles if needed.

Sorry forgot to mention that its an Imperial Armour 8 Elysian list; Valkyries can be taken as dedicated transports of which will be given to PCS(has mrps); the sentinels are attached to platoons and deep strike with them; I can't give them multilaser unforunately; also every squad has demopacks

I'm not too familiar with the Ellysians so if i make a suggestion you can use I apoligize. If all the Infintry is deepstriking you might have a problem as new 6th ed rules state if you have nothing on the board at the end of any turn you auto lose, so unless you have some way to get reserves turn 1 you can't win. The new information changes things quite a lot. with that many demo charges you have the AP2 situation covered along with all the melta / Lascannons. However in the new list I would drop the plasma guns and trade them out for flamers. If the points are the same thats 45 points, giving you enough to fit flamers in those squads and rock the PCS with 4 of them, and give the other PCS either 3 flamers or a second melta and a flamer. I think you will get more out of your points that way. That will give you a ton of Firey good ness to make even Sisters jelous. It does give you a fairly short range force but with 4 fliers at 1k points you should be able to drop one or two down to ground level and pickup a unit if you really need to reposition. Or up grade the H-bolter sentinel with some other gun.

I'd say your infantry is a little low on weapons. With that many fliers, it's going to be difficult to keep all of them on the board every turn. It'll be a significant loss in fire-power if they leave.
I'd take some more scoring units, maybe at the expense of the HB sentinal and a Vendetta. Maybe vets with plasma.
I think you'd also benefit from flamers on your PCS rather than BS3 special weapons (if they can take them I don't know much about elysian weapon choices). It'd cover a little bit of your anti-horde problem too. Not to mention flamers can take out MEQ quite comfortably if you have enough of them.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...
