First off, thanks everyone for the help in advance. I am new to Warmachine/Hordes and DakkaDakka in general.

One question I have is, could someone explain how the points work, ex. would be the warlocks +5 or whatever warbeast points(not sure i get it). Does it raise the cap for warbeasts to be included? My list:

Borka Kegslayer +5
Dire Troll Mauler -9 points
Troll Axer -6 points
Fennblades (leader & 5 grunts) -5 points

I would really like to add Skaldi Bonehammer into this list somehow, more for fun and looks. I'm not bothered by being competitive right now, just enjoying the game for what it is

Hey, welcome aboard. As far as how the warbeast points work, you have it exactly right. They are bonus points that can ONLY be used to pay for beasts.

As far as the list, that looks like a pretty solid start. I definitely recommend always starting with the caster you like the best and building your collection up around them.

Loving the fact there is a mauler in there straight away IMO thats the only problem with the starter box 3 lights when most others have a heavy an two lights isnt really that competative
