Hi DakkaDakka,

I'm participating in a campaign starting in two weeks and have decided to shelve my Necrons and dust off my GK. I have't played them since last year (the new shiny Necron codex was too much to resist). So now I'm trying to come up with an ACL albeit with the expectation of seeing lots of CSM and Daemons as they are now the flavor of the month in my club. Against these dudes I think I have a chance with the GK.

First off this started life as a strike squad spam list but has morphed since 6E and CSM came out (in my mind anyway we'll see what you all think). Also, some changes have been made based on ideas I out right stole from HulkSmashs list that he ran at Nova this year. Yes, I steal all of my best ideas Although I may not be playing it right anyway - who knows.

So first and foremost - why do I love my GK so much? Swords. Lots and lots of swords. I love swords like various armies love skulls. In fact unless a model in my army has a really good reason they're swinging a sword.

So how does my list currently roll?

1. Ordo has the Communion psyker power who helps reserves out as best he can. Terminator armor makes him a little more survivable.
2. Single paladin per my hero HulkSmash is held in reserve and deep strikes in late in the game acting as a linebreaker winner
3. As much as possible the strike squads try and stay within 12" of the dread for that reinforced aegis goodness (-4 to LD rolls for psychic attacks or something like that) - I foresee a lot of psyker powers pouring out of CSM.
4. Dread is also not half bad at taking out flyers and S8 long range shooting.
5. Three giant metal robots toting a serious flamer and, of course, a really big sword. These dudes deep strike into battle and just scare the pants off people. Hopefully the communion power will get them all in on turn two.
6. Quad gun to help out with the Daemon Princes which I know will be flying around. I don't think I've seen so many DP until 6E came out. I'm worried I may own one and don't even know it.

So, anyway, that's the plan. I think 4 scoring units are enough. Dunno. I had 5 until I added the dread and gave the dreadknights swords.
