So there is a painting competition coming up at a local GW and we are allowed to submit models that we painted at home. I have a few possible entries and wanted to see which one Dakka thought was the best (I'd like to actually win something lol, so might as well take my best work up there for judging).

I really like all these. They are nice and I like the unique colors you have picked on some of them.

If I were to pick one I would go with Kaptin Badrukk. I am a little biased as it is one of my favorite minis out of the group.

Awesome work all around! My top two picks would be the Necron Lord and the Chaos Lord.

My personal choice would be Badruk. But people get all hot and bothered by OSL, so I'd say take the 'cron lord.

Chaos Lord I would say. They're all good, but that one stands out the most to me. I would avoid the LotD simply on the grounds that they aren't based ('grounds'...get it? ).

If I choose them for my 'unit' entry I will base them prior to the 20th.

Go with the Chaos Lord. They always pick the new shiny toy to help promote sales.

Astorath I'd go for.

If you chose a different colour for the jetpack exhaust thing on astoroth it would improve the look (the back just looks messy with it being the same blue)

If you work on blending the highlights on the Legion of the Damned I would of voted for them, but the chaos lord is by far the nicer of the lot so ill vote for him

The Legion of the damned are really old in terms of my painting, as for Astorath, are you referring to his back pack or the exhaust? The Exhaust is white with Ice Blue and wash applied to the outlines and stuff, his base coat is Mordian Blue with Ultramarines Blue highlights. Kind of confused, perhaps the angle of the photo makes it look too close to the same color?

That chaos lord is sweet, but it's an ork PIRATE! There can be no loss with an ork pirate. Pirates are cool.

Me too (though I like all of my work, biased right? lol). Seems that the majority of votes seem to feel the Chaos Lord and good ol' Badrukk are more popular.

I prefer Badrukk, but feel the Necron is more likely to win you something.

I don't like Astorath at all. The Chaos Lord is good though.

The one from DV, sadly this jaded view on the competitions has been proven time and time again. -.-

However I like them all, but that one looks quite nice; so there were two reasons behind my choice.

My favourites are Astorath and the Chaos Lord..

But overall, Chaos Lord I'd say. Not only is it a new release, which always will help get extra attention, the painting on it is superb, and in a colour scheme not so common, but very well executed.
