I have not this announced on Dakka. A new company game company in Kansas City, MO US, DGS Games has released their new fantasy tabletop game Freeblades. The miniature look pretty good and the rules seem pretty stright foward. Here is a link to their website:

The minis are great, but not 28mm. They are pretty close to our 40mm sculpts.

Yep, sorry was wrong about the size. The minis still look good.

I got a demo of this game at Origins in Columbus. Our gaming group picked up a few copies. The game is good for the most part. I'm a bigger fan of the minis and the rulebook (it's very well done) than I am of the game itself, nothing against the designers. The leveling up of dice used in the game was an interesting concept, but just not one for me.

Jon, have there been any other big releases since what was being shown at the summer conventions (like more than the original few sets you had available).

I just watched a Freeblades Demo game today and it seems very interesting. When I get paid on Friday I am going to buy a rule book, and some minis so I can try it out. I like the idea that I can carry an army in my BF PACK Mini case.

I just ordered my copy of the book the other day. Looking forward to reading the backgrounds and the rules. I am very interested based on the demos I saw online. I have been looking for a Fantasy skirmish game and I like the mechanics I have seen for this one so far.

$pider, if you ordered a book you obviously have a good source. But if you have a local retailer that you'd like to see carry our stuff, just let me know their contact info.
