This is only my second marine painted using only a starter brush, and messing around with highlighting for the first time. Hope you guys approve. Thanks for looking.

Looks pretty good, your freehand could use a bit of a steadier hand haha, but that will come, and you should ease into highlights with layers, meaning starting with a base coat and slowly layering it up to a brighter color, and then a very thin edge highlight. It's very good for a second marine and is for sure table top quality! Good job!

Canni. Lay the model on its side. You can square up the arrow much better then from a standing position. Mini and your painting hand is support by the flat surface. Also I'm doing my first Night Lord so I feel your pain on the Dark Angel

Ha. Thanks for the advice. Ill try that tomorrow when I finish the rest of the squad. Anybody have any good advice on texture and paint to get a city/pavement effect for the base?
