Okay assuming this is general enough i might ave a chance on buying either a helldrak or forge/mauler fiend before the end of the month, tactics wise what's a better buy?

That depends on what you want to do and what your list looks like. You can't really compare vastly different units in a vacuum without context.

Depends on the rest or your army, but I would say the helldrake for anti-flyer if you dont have so already. Otherwise a Forgefiend with the triple plasma cannons would be great to.

Well i usually still run my 3x havoc squads with lots of flakk missles so anti flyer is covered and my hs is filled.

In my personal opinion I am going to say heldrake. Heldrake is valuable aa, and paying 28 points per havoc with a flakk missile end up being about the same price as the heldrake. Thats 4 shots which end up being 2.666.. hits where as the heldrake vector strike is an average of 3 hits.

Both the heldrake and the forge fiend have the exact same defence, hull points, and special rules that help them survive. For less points the Heldrake is flyer maknig it way tougher to bring down, and sacrifices one hades autocannon for a vector and sky fire.

Idk about you, I find the forgefiend really over costed, and for that reason Id take the heldrake.

Knowing absolutely nothing whatsoever about fiends, I'd still say the helldrake. A FLYING HELLHOUND that comes with an Ap3 flamer template? That's good for SO many reasons.
