Hey guys, thought I'd slap up my colour test model for my Heresy Era army here for some CnC.
Please note that this is just a 2-hour speedpaint to test the hues so the detail is a bit unsharp and details such as lenses, metallics and the black has a very limited highlight.
Also the model is intentionally lacking the green Legion symbol, squad and trooptype markings etc. for the sole reason that my green basecolour mix has run out and needs restocking.

Have at it people.

I have a little hobby-thread going in the P&M section. Some say it's the best blog on Dakka, some don't agree, most belive it would be better if I finished at least one project some time this century and not just kept starting new ones.
Check it out, you just might like it.

He looks great. Are the scratches in the armour actually cut into it, or did you just paint them well enough to fool people? Either way, great work.

there's smoke in my iris, but I painted a sunny day on the insides of my eyelids

Wow, really good work, I initially thought that they were cut directly in the model.

I do really like it, I would like to see it finished once the green adds and the minus highlights will be done.

The scratches are very well executed, especially if this is "just a 2h of painting" model.

I just find some of them too much X shaped, try to give them a more unidirectional sense. Even if not particularly realistic, you may say, because representative of a unique damage, try to avoid the repetition of the X pattern.

Just my 2 cents obviously.

Every molecule will be useful
