I have the book, but i can't find this info anywhere.

Is this book supposed to be used against normal 40k armies? It has a different F.O.C. but in the same page it says that the standard can be used for 40k games.
Also this book is awesome, should we open a Tactics thread for it?

North of your position

It can be used for both 40k and HH IIRC.
Glad you like it

The interviews and press releases have billed the HH rules as a stand alone set. And If you look at the allies table on p185 it would seem to support this as only the 18 Legions, IG and Mechanicum are listed.

The biggest road block is convincing your opponet that the list is not over powered as will be the general assumption due to it being FW and rules for Primarchs, and other super heavies.

The answer to this is that the Legion list is not OP and has built in limitations even if you use the HH force org chart. And you cannot use Primarchs and super-heavies at all if you use the normal force org chart.

Summary: Ask your opponet if it is cool. I honestly cannot wait to field 18 primarchs and the Emperor in an Apoc game.

Just like any game, it's usually ask your opponent. Even in a "normal" 40K game, anyone can refuse to play you.

No where does it say you have to play someone with a Dragiowing list. You can refuse to play if you so wanted to. Maybe you are tired of playing against those type lists so you can refuse to play.

It's just best you don't show up in a stranger pick up game and expect anyone to play agaisnt with no knowladge of a way to prepare for that kind of list.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Its not designed to be played against armies for 40k, but only within the Horus Heresy books. It just uses 40k rules.
