For any American users in the South, I thought I'd throw this forward for anyone whom might like to support a newly-opened shop!

Grand Opening Warhammer Tournament

October 20th - Location - Nexus Gaming Empire (Leesville, Louisiana)


Starting Time - 11:00 AM
2 hour game time limit
Half hour break for lunch
Points Value 2000

Standard missions and deployment
Special Characters are allowed
Latest-Edition Warhammer 40,000 Codexes, FAQs, and Erratas
40k-Approved Forgeworld models allowed*
Point-based system spread over 3 games
1 point for completing the game
3 points for winning
1 point for racking up more total unit kills than your opponent
At the end of the three games the winner is decided by the most points scored, if points are equal then it goes to Win/loss ratio, if again they are tied then it comes to sudden death.
Buy-in is $20. One quarter of the total pot will go to the store; the rest will be divided amongst the winners. An example prize list for a six-player tournament:
1st place: $50 Store Credit
2nd place: $40 Store Credit
3rd place: Free Drink & Candy Bar


*Must provide rules in either book, PDF, or printed form. Organizers can validate/disqualify Forgeworld models at will.
