Does anybody know of a place that sells display trays for 40k? I'm looking for trays that I can keep my miniatures in at home so that they are on display but out of the way. I'd prefer that they already have a way to stack, but if not, I'm sure I can find a way to do that. Specifically I'm looking for something like this:

http://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/bases/fools-trays

I would get those fool's trays, but they are made for malifaux, so the base sizes are just a bit different (30mm vs 25 mm).

GW has trays that might do the trick: Movement trays, but it looks like they only make trays for 25mm and 40mm bases, but not 60mm. Also, their 25mm trays only come in groupings of 4, so that is really not enough (I know they are for movement.)

Anyways, does anybody have any suggestions?

I think what you are wanting to do is have your entire force displayed on a board? If so i think there is a display board write up on Jawaballz blog not sure exact link but i saw one there off top of my head.

If your good with building why not buy some white boards that have magnet background, some L brackets some 1x1 pieces of wood and build a frame to slide each white board in for each army you have. Put magnets on bases of minatures so they stick on it and paint/customize the board as you like. You can put cheap hinges on front and screw cheap plexiglass to the frame that the boards fit into so to keep them dust free so to speak. I guess best example would be a bakers rack so to speak as an idea to base the project off. Would probably be a lot cheaper than the first wood boards i saw there. Hobby Lobby has a sale on white boards and i been thinking of getting some to display my army with.. rack idea i kind of brain stormed just now ... course i used to work in school district maintenance so building things comes easy for me .

Hope that helps for a dyi idea. If i were to do this myself i will do a thread on it. Oh, and white boards that you make into display boards can be used to display your army at a tournament/store like i see people doing... kind of a display at home/display at store. I am sure you could build a box around it to transport it somehow as well... have to get some $ together and add this idea to a future project .

BTW you can buy the GW boards or you can also if wanting movement trays just go to craft store and get balsa wood boards and wood and make movement trays any size to fit your units and even put magnets on those too if so choose.

Heard your discription and thought of the ads for this company

not used it myself - may be pricy, but might just help.

One way: Put magnents on the bottom of the bases.

Then get any kind of stackable tray: glue the cheap sheet magnets down. No need to worry about the models moving around. Easy transport of the trays you get are small/light.

I did this on a different scale. I bought a 72" x 48" steel shelving unit ( 4 shelves ) and put it in my garage. With the bases magnetized, they don't move unless I really want them to.
