Good Warlord, I use the same one, although I stripped his combi-melta as they only have 2 weapons, and I wanted an extra bonus attack as the Axe is not Unique. People have pointed out that Powerfists on Champions who must issue and accept challenges may not be so good, as anyone with initiative and a powersword will slay you fast, so you may be able to trim some points there for something else.

You must really expect some counterattack to arm the havocs sargeant as you do, if they're assaulted, they're usually dead anyways as it's a backfield deepstriker or a vanguard unit exiting a Land Raider, so the 25 points on the Havoc Champion may be better spent somewhere else as well.

Some of these trimmed points could give marks of khorne/maybe even an Icon to the Bikes, to assist the lord even more. I was gonna suggest Nurgle on the Bikes, but then of course the Khorne Lord couldn't join them.

Yup, you are right with the lord i'll give his his pistol back i though he had a bolter as well just realized he didn't.

I'm aware of the PF not being as effectiv eon challenges sadly that's how one of my zerk champs is built so i guess i'll have to stick with it, will be helpful to deal with walkers MC

Try and get a second squad of bikers in there. Since you are running in the open with no transports it would be good to get a second immediate threat in their face.

I know people are switching to plasma but I'm still a fan of melta on bikes. You have the movement to get in close and this way you aren't risking the overheat.

I do like the extra Havocs to soak incoming fire. Boo for the wrong mark though. LOL.

There is a place beneath those ancient ruins in the moor…

Need more speed to cross the battle field.

ADL with Quad gun is 100 points not 85, I would double check some other point costs also.

Swap heavy bolter for something else, ether Autocannon or ML and drop the upgrades. (other then MoN)

Zerkers are a little weak.

Mess with the best, Die like the rest.

Mmmm you are right i selected the wrong option for the ADL at the battlescribe, looks like i'll have to drop the MoN mark on them because of that.

Regarding the heavy bolter i know an autocannon would be better and they cost the same, sadly i only have one model with autocannon, plannning on getting another 3, but won't have them in time for this tourney :(

The problem is that i either split my 8 bikes on squads of 4, having one of them fearless and the other one not fearless risking that it might run away. Reading on the cavalry/bike units on the BRB looks like this units doesn't get any real bonus by being together (Lord & bikes), i'm loosing the turbo-boost form the bikes and the fleet from the jugger still porbably the safest way to make the lord make it to the other side.

However I'm also playing with the idea of replacing the bikes & lord for kharn and a land raider... Kharn is a beast and riding with 9 zerks on a LR seems hard to stop at 1750 points however I fear that he'll die a lot easily than the jugger lord due to T4 and 5+ invul

Yeah, that's true, The Fleet for the Juggernaut's only really useful if he breaks away, which makes him VERY reliable. Also, if you take an Icon of Wrath on the Bikes, they get to reroll charges anyways, so that will help.

I myself am reconsidering a Kharn warlord, as his Gorechild is armorbane, amongst everything else, making him perfect for slaughtering almost anything.

Yah, besides hitting on 2s would mean that anything it gets on a challenge would probably die before striking back... except MCs which are my real worry, or just what is left of a termie squad after kharn wins the challenge, better pray the dark gods for some 6s to allocate wounds on the PFs

Actually now that i reviewed who is entering the tourney there's' a BA guy who always fields Mephiston... He would would destroy the jugger lord or kharn equally, ideally i should put him down with the plasmas but that fether is fast with his wings psy power :|, might have to add some 2+sv to deal with him

Yeah, your Khorne Lord isn't for going after your opponent's IC, or at least not against the big scary ones, but for leveling 1 Tactical/Assault Squad a turn. Then again, looking at your army list, it's hard to find another go-to unit for dealing with Mephiston, without focusing a few Tac Squads or Bikes with lots of wounds/plasma.

Yup Mephiston need to be dealt with asap, since if ignored he will destroy my troops sitting at the objectives, i'll probably will have to play shooty against that army keeping the bikes on the back until he gets into charge range

Was it a termie Lord with it? cause otherwise that was a really lucky lord not getting killed at I7 by mephiston hehehe, anyway I kinda figured out how to deal with him, replacing a the lord for kharn and the bikes for termies, so that if he get in combat the termie champion with a power fist

It makes them a lot more expensive as well, and if they are riding with the chaos lord on jugger their only choice would be MoK, which would only give them rage (since they gain counterattack by being attacked to the khorne lord), 7 extra attacks of chainswords an 1 extra of power fist on the charge isn't worth the points imho. On my past game where i used nurgle I made them nurgle bikes because... cmon T6 bikes?!, sadly one of the plasmas blew itself and the rest were killed by missile launchers/meltas/plasmas making their T6 pretty much the same as T5 but costing a lot more.

Anyway I might drop them for this new list (due to my mephiston fears):

Kharn I think would be as effective as the jugger lord and by being with the termies the gets to LoS into them with the 2+ sv, also eliminate the randomness of the warlord trait, the termie unit will always have hatred and being with kharn makes them fearless and ld10, so no need for VotLW

Hey guys, just updating this list, the tourney went on this sunday and won it with a completely different list that the one posted here, pretty much due to the fact that I was sure I would have to eventually fight against a friend's Swarmlord, flying Tyrant and 2 Tervigons all of which would have instakilled a juggerlord/kharn and concede the slay the warlord.

It was a small tournament of 8 people, direct eliminatios, my matches were against Ultramarines, Necrons & Nyds on the final

Abaddon's trait was useless except for the first match but he was the only one who could take out those Nyds MCs, anyway here is the list:
