I was clicking around Spikey Bits and found the "Wolf's Head" helmet from the (I believe) Grey Hunters kit) and I decided to do a custom figure based around it. After some brief searching on ebay for the basic parts I'll need (legs, torso, backpack), the wolf's head helmet, and the Company Champion bits are all told going to cost around $16.64, with $3.50 in shipping.

What's the most you've ever spent building a single figure from bitz?

So as one is wont to do I found a really cool bit. Specifically the "Wolf's Head" helmet from the (I believe) Grey Hunters kit) and I decided to do a custom figure based around it. It's cost as a bit? $5, I then wanted the company champion stuff to go with it. $8, all told after legs, torso, backpack, and shipping I'm looking at $20 for a single custom figure. What's the most you've ever spent bitz building a single figure?

Grammar, please... it is a forum rule.
Half of those sentences don't make sense, but I can tell you this... If the total cost of all your bits is only $8 and the shipping is $12, you need to find a new bits seller because that is outrageous.

I agree with above. Most bits stores on eBay either charge one flat fee or a base fee for the first item and like .20 each item. $12 for shipping is crazy.

Well, that's not to bad then. Most I've spent on bits was like $25 on 40 shoota arms for my boyz.

That's a lot of dakka, so $16+shipping isn't terrible for a single figure?

Back when GW still did bits sales I once made a mechanical demon prince from all kinds of things. Throne of judgement legs, the head of a Juggernaut, the torso of some fantasy demon, the engine from a deff dread and so on. It was around $40 bucks I think
