A brief 40K battle-report using the old Rogue Trader and Realm of Chaos rules.

Hadley's Chophouse is a veritable Oasis of the Deadlands. As a trading post and refueling station, it's one of the few places outside the Policed Zones (or P.Z's) of Bad Landing respected as Neutral Ground. Watched over by Hadley, his gorgeous daughters and an old Cyborg named Pax, the Chophouse is the one place for fifty klicks in any direction where Raiders, Vaulters, Scavvies, Bounty Hunters and Caravanners can be found in peaceful collusion.

So when a Vaulter Strike Force decided to hit the place, it really should have come as no surprise that every single person present -staff, patrons and cyborg alike- grabbed their guns and started shooting back.

Fantastic work on the battle report, it looks like it was ripped right out from an old White Dwarf! I have to admit, when I saw that the defenders had a Sensei Minor hero I laughed because I knew the carnage that was about to take place, but was pleasantly surprised by the minor victory for the attackers.

Again, really excellent work. Hope you do more of them! I'd like to see the Sensei take on some Chaos Legionnaires, I feel that that would make for a really fun battle.

Thanks Vladsimpalar, that's one heck of a complement . I hope to do more of these battle reports in the next few months. My scenery and most of the miniatures I used in the battle-report have gone into storage in southern England in preparation for moving to a bigger place. But I hope to do the follow up game of the campaign sometime around Christmas. A bit of a long wait, but I'm sure it will be worth it.

This was an incredible report. I enjoyed it immensely. I want to use this rule set that you did in this Bat Rep to do some of my own. Where are all those minis from by the way? They're fantastic!

Thanks gpunk. The Vaulters/bad guys were Necromunda Van Saars, the Caravenners and the cyborg were from Copplestone Castings and EM4 future warriors range (they're colonial marine types repainted to look like civilians), the Raiders were Necromunda Goliaths. Hadleys daughters are from the Reaper Miniature's Chronopia range and Hadley himself is a very, very old pre-slotta GW miniature.

Is Hadley's Outpost a possible reference to Aliens? xD

You caught me. Guilty as charged Blaxican. Guess what might be making an appearance in the next game?
