Hello all!
Even though I've been into GW fluff for years (have played Shadow of the Horned Rat, Space Hulk, Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels, Dark Omen, Dawn of War 2, Warhammer Online; Horus Heresy, Chaos in the Old World, and Warhammer Invasion), I only just broke down and bought an Army this past weekend.
Question: I've read the first ten or so of the excellent Horus Heresy series. Is there an equally grouping of books set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe? I've seen the Gortex (sp?) and Felix omnibus and am interested in that, and the Sigmar series looks good, too.
Can anyone recommend anything else?

The Sigmar series is very good, same goes for the Nagash series. I would also check out the Bruenour omnibuss

If you like reading on Eldar you could grab Path of the Seer and Path of the Warrior. Path of the Outcast is the next one in line but I'm not sure if it is out yet. They are good books and provide some good fluff on how Eldar society operates as well as how the various shrines are founded. So far they are books about the same sequence of events but from different points of view (one from a Striking Scorpion, one from a Farseer, and the last supposedly from a Ranger/Pathfinder). They've nothing to do with the Horus heresy if you're wondering though.

I haven't finished the second book yet, but the Swords of the Empire collection is an awesome story. It is 'Sword of Justice' and 'Sword of Vengeance'. One of the finest fantasy stories I've ever read.
My next series will be the Blood of Aenerion set which will have 2 more books added to it in the next 18 months iirc.
C.L Werner, Josh Reynolds, Chris Wraight and Darius Hinks all write great books IMO.

There's nothing equivalent to the Horus Heresy series for Fantasy- thats pretty much its own thing at this point. Aside from Gotrex & Felix, pretty much all the books are either single installments or 2-3 part books.
Probably your best bet is to find one that relates to the army(ies) you're interested in. A majority of the books tend to focus on Empire though.
