Hello Dakka!

I lurked on here for a bit, then finally made an account. Just now I've finally worked up the courage to post an introduction.

Earlier this year my brother convinced me to start playing 40K with him and a friend of his. He had played previously in 4th Edition, but had to stop playing for some reason. He had tried to get me involved in it back then, but I was just starting high school and blah blah boring stuff. While I did not play 40K with him and his friends, I did start to read the lore and became increasingly entertained by the Orks. My brother, noticing my interest in the greenskins, bought a couple metal Ork models for me (already painted) off eBay to try and get me to play. He bought me: Ghazghkull, a Warboss with an attack squig, and a Deff Dread. While I thought these were awesome, I still didn't have much time to play due to more boring stuff. Anyway, a few years passed and it was still in 5th when my brother wanted to start playing again so we split the cost on an AoBR set so he could start an SM army while I played my beloved Orks. I'm not sure how many points my brother has now, but he has a Storm Wardens themed SM army and an Inquisition force. I've built up just over 3500 points of Orks, just under 1300 points of DA, and just over 500 points of Red Corsair themed CSM (I bought the Dark Vengeance LE set because I wanted to start both DA and Chaos armies, plus the mini rule book was nice to have). I'll be getting my first flyer soon (Ork Bommer kit)!

So as it stands now, the group (only 3 people for now, sadly) I game with has:
Me: Orks, DA, and Red Corsairs
My Brother: Storm Wardens and Inquisition
His Friend: Night Lords, Death Guard, and World Eaters.

After I build my current armies up more, I'm planning on starting two new armies with Imperial Fists and Necrons. I'll have to see how I'm doing financially before I start these though.

So, umm, yeah. I'm not quite sure what else to say so if anyone has any questions or comments please feel free. Sorry if this post was a bit boring.

Thanks tigerstein! I looked through your Blood Angel pictures and they are looking good. I have to ask though: What drew you (I guess anyone can answer this) to playing Blood Angels in the first place?

Thank you I originaly started playing vanilla marines, but after a year (and better knowing the fluff) I changed to Blood Angels. I love their fluff, I also love Dreadnoughts and the idea that literaly no one in the chapter is safe to go berzerk to rip the enemies head of. With the new rage rule I want to make a big Death Company themed force with DC Dreadnoughts and Furiosos. Who needs to claim objektives if you shred your opponent to little pieces but first I want to finish the 4th company. Also the Baal Predator is a lovely beast. (thats why i have 4 of it).

@Mandalor I need to finish the little shields on my GK Terminators, and paint a land raider. I got a converted Inquisitor and a Vindicare Assasin (ok, it is a Mercs mini, but it is a lady in skin tight suit witha sniper rifle, so it1s close enough ) painted up. From my bugs i got 6 out of 9 warriors, a carnifex, a trygon and some gaunts painted up. I neglected my bugs for some time, waiting for the official tervigon and after half year of adventures in the postal system (or the warp, i think the to are the same thing) I got one I currently worked mostly on a force of Angels and Knights for a tournament this weekend, and i must say that i'm sick of painting silver for a while.
