It fires at a single unit that arrives from reserve, also it says that the unit can be fired as long as it is within range and LOS, but when is the LOS determined?. If the pod lands within LOS, then the Dooms position of entry onto the field is also within the LOS of the gun?... My mysetic spore is big enough to cover the Doom completely, however the rule doesn't specify if the gun's LOS is drawn before or after disembarking deployment... Also I was always led to believe that its the Mysetic Spore that arrives from reserve and deep strikes, the Doom arrives via Deep strike as embarked it is written in the rulebook and the Tyranid codex. But as the Doom cannot himself arrive by deep strike and as you don't roll for the dice for the Doom and the Mysetic spore as the reserve unit then how is he effected by this rule?...

When shooting at units that arrive via deep strike I think people get Coteaz's rule mixed up, whereas he shoots everytime a unit enters the field... I fail to see how a 35pt gun could fire in a players turn, and then out of sequence, at a target that exits a vehicle that has fallen from the sky, I'd understand that it fires as the Deep striking unit enters the atmosphere but I believe the purpose was not intended to maim the Doom or even say a Dreadnaught before it has a chance to enter the combat... Even If it is the case I will now happily deploy the Doom on the blind side of my spores, and deny LOS... The Codex and FAQ also say nothing about the Dooms ability requiring LOS, just that the units must be within 6", so with the Inertial guidance he'll still be killing stuff unopposed in the turn he lands...
If the Mysetic spore does die, then it dies, the Doom has already disembarked so remains unharmed, if you have another gun on the aegis line, then blast away at the Doom...
