or try a $1 dollar store at a mall/strip mall. Usually have tons of cheap costume jewelry suitable for DE-construction.

i agree, just about any hobby shop or craft store should have it, i got a small jewelry chain to use for my storm raven to make it look like its rescuing a gk, when you go hunting for the chain take one of your miniatures with you to put it into scale for you.
