I'm looking at putting an order in with Bitz Barn (http://bitzbarn.com/) I used them about 2 years back and seem to recall they were a bit slow but acceptable.

Any recent experiences with them?

Not really. Their website was down for quite a while. And all they seemed to have were the little pieces of junk no one wanted.

Horde O Bits or the Warstore is the way to go.

Well their site is up for me and they have what I want (while Horde and Warstore do not).

Any thoughts on their service?

I just ordered from them on sunday, they emailed to say the order was processed, and then shipped monday. It will be 2-3 days for delivery, but so far so good.

I would not recommend ordering from them. Lat time I ordered they didn't ship for over a week, so I wrote them and asked to cancel the order. They said they couldn't cancel an order which was processing, which I assumed meant was about to ship. Nope, it did not ship for another 4 days. When I wrote them back saying I would be refusing the package and returning it for a refund, they said they did not accep t returns. I basically had to get into it with them, ultimately threatening to reverse the charges before they said they would refund me for the order upon return. Seriously the worst customer service I've experienced anywhere.

I used them earlier this year, can't remember the service really, although I'm inclined to say it was meh.

My problem with them is that their site has a pretty bad selection for many kits, and many of the items that are listed are almost always out of stock.

Bitzbox at least shows every single bit from a set with fairly obvious notices about being out of stock on them.

Well, like I said, I received a confirmation the next day with tracking info. The couple of bitz I was looking for were in stock according to their site.

I have noticed that the restocks tend to be infrequent overall, but I can't speak to that.

When they have stuff on the site as 'in stock', I haven't had a problem.

Used them for the past 12 months - 10+ orders ranging from $20 - $200 - and have found them to be reliable and helpful supplier.

I mostly buy complete sprues but they have always shipped in a timely fashion and on occasions when I have specifically asked for sprues they didn't have in stock they had them for me and shipped them in 48 hours.

Speed of service is very good and international postal charges are best on the net (Hoard O'Bits are also very good for single items).

I've ordered from them a few times and always had good experiences. It seems like they focus more on selling full sprues rather than individual bits, though, so the selection can be frustrating if you're looking for, say, just heads or certain weapons.

Slow but acceptable is still the label I'd use, so as long as you can wait a bit they're no problem to deal with.

I've ordered from them several times, once fairly recently, and have no complaints other than poor selection.

Hrm, I may have revise my assessment to slow and barely acceptable.

My order shipped today, a week after I placed it. OK I knew to expect that.

But one of the items listed as in stock when I ordered was out of stock. I got an immediate refund but if I'd know it was out of stock i would have ordered it from somewhere else a week ago.

Or not ordered at all from Bitz Barn.

It still looks to me like the natural slowness in updates for a sideline business, and I appreciate he didn't make me fight for a refund or string me along waiting for a restock that will never come... but still it's irking. Esp since it will take an extra 2-3 weeks to arrive in Trinidad.

Bitz Barn is great, but as stated previously, orders are a wee bit slow. More recently, they seem to be moving more towards providing entire sprues and kits, rather than individual bitz.

I should note that I've had 23 orders from them over the years , shipped to N.A. and Europe, and never once had any issues.

They never seem to have the stuff I need. I prefer Hoard'o bits and some ebay-shops.
