So I bought an air brush and a compressor and everything is going well except there is always paint stuck on the needle and I read I need to thin my paint, I did with water but it doesn't help so I read that I need airbrush medium.

However, the prices for them are not cheap but I found this:

https://airbrushes.com/product_info.php?products_id=21197&osCsid=d7dcb9c1257675f7c56b9dfcd4ee4da5

Does it do the same job?

Whats the difference between reducer and medium? Is medium specificly for acrylics?

That says in it's product description that it is for urethane-based paint. Just pick up a bottle of Vallejo Airbrush Thinner and use that. It is probably the best stuff out there and it will serve you well.
Also, buy a bottle of airbrush oil. Put a tiny amount (seriously, a tiny bit is more than enough) on the tip of the needle and that should help with preventing paint from premature drying. Plus, you need to keep all the mechanical parts of the brush lubricated as well.

Indeed, the large 200ml bottle of Vallejo you can get for about $10-$15.

Works very well.
