Maybe someone can clear this up for me. I don't have the codex so I cant check for myself, but I've been making a duel CC weapon dreadnought over the last few weeks and found out the Helbrute that replaces dreads cant take duel CC weapons! :(

What would the criteria be to make it a maulerfiend count as? (Seeing as its the closest rules for the model I made) I could make a big jump pack sort of thing on its back to show that it has fleet, but would that be allowed as it is still clearly a Dreadnought/Helbrute. From the GW website it looks as if it has a larger base, anyone know the measurements?

Cheers for any help

You're mistaken regarding the Helbrute's extra power fist, he can indeed take two. As for converting one to be a Maulerfiend, IMHO a suitably large jump pack would look awesome. Or if you can find a way to make him quadrupedal, that'd work as well. As long as he's on the larger oval base and is roughly the same overall size (and can't be mistaken for a regular 'brute), I wouldn't complain.

Ill probably try making it up and bringing it to some games, see what the locals think. Hopefully you aren't the only one who thinks it s a good idea.

The Maulerfiends is a lot larger than a Dreadnought/Helbrute though. But as Cheexsta said, the current codex still allows them with 2 close combat weapons, so there's no need for a count-as if that's your only consideration.

Yep, very first option for a helbrute is the additional powerfist.

You do need to be wary of exactly how you model it since they're no longer "dreadnought close combat weapons". You now distinguish between power fist, thunder hammer and power scourge - so make sure the difference is clear.

The maulerfiend is much much larger, it's also on an oval base, I'd say just do the 2 powerfist option others have suggested.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.
