When the two of them come up from Deepstrike. The Tyranid rule books talks about using a Large Blast template to show where they enter. You move stuff out of way, etc. BUT the new Trygon model is this big OVAL base that is larger than a large blast template? With the blast template the Trygon won't fit and the models aren't one inch away as they should be as described in the Tyranid rule book..
Should we use the Large Blast template then move everyone back plus one inch or the Trygon models base plus one inch?

The last blast template is 120mm in diameter. The oval template is 120 x 95 mm. Should fit like a glove.

Hmm I thought only the Mawloc had the Terror From the Deep IIRC rule with the blast template?
Use the large blast to hit the models, than be sure any survivors are pushed back to 1" away from the base I suppose.

Aye, only the Mawloc uses the large blast template.

My main reasoning is that if the enemy unit can't get out of the way its destroyed.

Right if it absolutely cannot get pushed out of the way, this rarely happens. Mind you remember you can be pushed out of the template area

I'm using 2 Trygons and a Mawloc plus MANY deep strikers (flanking Genestealers, Gargoles, Spore Deep Strikers and Ravagers. I plan to pin them in causing destruction by them not being able to legally get out of the way.
If I set my Model base down they have to be further back improving the chances of them getting killed.

Sounds like a good way to kill your own troops with your Mawloc when he scatter onto them.

I'll survive with a dead 5 point Termagaunt to wipe some Paladins or a Land raider in one fell swoop. (Evil laugh)
