I'm not sure about the command squad. Should I keep it shooty, assault, or take it out and spend the points elsewhere. Any thoughts on my list?

I'm a great fan of quad plasma squads - they will be holding a masive bullseye sign though. Captain in the squad can take an AP3 hit if you keep him at the front and he gets FNP as well.

On the captain, I don't think the combi-plasma is really needed as he has hellfire rounds anyway. Maybe at higher points levels, but at 1,500 points are precious. Also ligntning claw I'm not sure about. I'd want something that can hurt vehicles, MCs etc - so maybe a melta bomb or power fist?

I agree, the cp and the lc seem a bit iffy. Power Fist and Melta Bomb is a very good combo, especially if you want some fast moving tank killyness

I do like the lightning claw, it acts as a cheap relic blade. Though meltabombs would obviously be nice. lightning claw and power fist happens to be an awesome combo. Twin linked poisoned bolter is probably better than the combiplasma.

You will run your captain into cc at some point. The thing is you will probably assault him in with some other bikes, so you may as well set up a squad so it can perform a little better at cc for when this happens.

I am not sure the heavy bolters are needed, then again others swear by them.

I would run two stormtalons are they always work better in pairs, due to things like reserves and skyfire. Also in your list I would use typhoon missiles as they are more flexible and I would not like to guarantee what the stormtalons will be firing at.

To save points for the stormtalon use combat squads on the bikes. Now it is really important to have a good number of scoring units, and you get more for the points by combat squadding.
