Found a neat company on TMP with some new mutants for sale. Might be of interest to some

4 Bioblytes - infantry support £9.50

Here are a selection of 4 Biologically enhanced beings. Are they humans who have evolved or been biologically enhanced, or are they aliens from another planet coming to take over the Earth?!

Two Bioblytes have muscular physiques, whilst two have a more natural look. Circuit boards are visible on the lesser muscular beings. Each Bioblyte has a weapon, whether this be machine gun, pulse/energy weapon, or missile launcher. Pipes run throughout their bodies, maybe as part of the "enhancement" or to harvest energy into ammo...you decide!

Figures are 30mm in height (28mm to the eyes) approx .

Comes unpainted. Supplied with four 25mm plastic bases.

Sculpted by: Carl Sutherwood

4 Armless Beings £9.50

These Armless Beings are not as helpless as they first appear. Their torso and ribs have swollen up causing the front of their chest to split open, leaving them vunerable. Maybe it's their only weak spot? or maybe it's a weapon?! Who knows, there's only one way to find out!!

Figures are 30mm in height (28mm to the eyes) approx .

Comes unpainted. Supplied with four 25mm plastic bases.

Sculpted by: Carl Sutherwood

Not the most amazing sculpts, but the price is great $4.00 each and the sculpts are varied enough such that they're suitable generic 'grunts'.

The second set is nicely grotesque.

The "Armless Beings" are definitely ripoffs of the Lying Figures from the Silent Hill games. That being said, Silent Hill is my favorite gaming series of all time, so I'll definitely have to pick these up.

Edit:

WOW upon looking at their site they have a lot of Silent Hill knockoffs! These are fantastic, I'm picking up all of them.

The sculpting doesn't blow me away, but I dig the models nonetheless. The top mutants would be fun for some kind of X-Com-style game.

I feel like the relative simplicity of the models would lend itself well to a very dark, grainy, Silent Hill-esque paint job.

These look average. If his stuff wasn't Silent Hill knock-off, I wouldn't give them a second look

Cheers for the comments, and for posting. I actually have some more stuff which will be released soon, which shows an improvement in sculpting.

I've only been sculpting about a year, before then I had no experience. I'm not even from an art background! So these were all made within the first year which included learning how to sculpt.

So "average" for me is great. It means they are better than some out there, but not the best, which I am fully aware. Which when you think of it, is quite a compliment even though it's not meant as one *shakes fist*

By the way, I'm the guy who sculpted them if you haven't figured that out yet Oh and by the way, I'm not the only company to do "rip offs"...

I like them. Full of character and look like they will paint up nicely. I would maybe get the ones for your site painted up to abit higher standard but that maybe just me.
I like that you are playing to your strengths with the sculpts ie. Your current sculpting style suits the concepts (rather like curtis at ranshackle ) and with the growth in scifi games in the last few years im sure people are going to be looking for fun unique gribblys. as for future releases i would suggest something along the lines of separate mutant / alien heads and arm sets? Things that will sell not only for your own range but also for people to use on there existing multi part models?

Haha fair point. It pretty much depends on your standard of painting. The one's pictured are better than what I can paint, so they are a higher standard to me (and very cheap). In the future as sculpts become more detailed and so forth, I may not bother getting them painted, and just use a primer on them to enhance the detail.

Separate heads/arms etc is a good idea for the future. Right now I'm working on another bunch of zombies, which are more detailed as I'm getting better. But it's definitely something I would consider for the future.
