Hi all for the last year I have been toying with the Idea of a custom chapter using some event that have happen in my local store over the last 4years as a ideas for fluff at the moment I have two different lines of fluff

. 1 being the following The Enfield chapter was founded after the 12th black crusade using the gean seed of the Blood angels.
They where tasked with protecting the forge world for witch that are named after. In the last few hundred years there task has changed to protect all planets in the system.
There chapter fortress is on the eastern continent of the planet the forge world also has two moons one of witch is home to a small IG fleet and space port and the second acting as a planetary defence base from witch the chapter can coordinate the defence of the system and the planet. In 999.M41 the chapter sent 3 of its company’s to help defend the caidan gate during the 13th black crusade out of the 3 company’s one was heavily mulled and one is reported to have disappeared the two remaining company’s returned to fine the system under attack by a Ork Waaagh current statues shows the Imperial force hold 85% of the system with heavy loses for PDF forces ,

To be redone maybe !!
(the chapter like to pick pleases to set up fields of fire and favors long range shooting and heavy weapons)

The chapter is formed in to 10 company’s

1st company is a veteran company consisting of chapter commander and his command staff And the chapters veterans who are assigned to over companies when needed it also has the chief Liberian and the chief apothecary as well as Chaplin

The 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th company’s is a battle company witch is a standard set up as well as being assigned transports dreadnoughts and tanks when needed .

6th company strength unknown current deployment unknown last seen 999.M41
Company commander von dalin.

7th company standard company set up on deployment . Company commanders Valerius
Company name armoured hunters.

8th and 9th company’s are training company’s were all the recruits spend there time in tiring as well as getting issued there armour and other equipment.

10th company is were the chapter houses its transport tanks as well as reaper and maintain

Much of the history of Von daylin raiders may have been lost may be due to the long time since the chapter was founded after the cursed 21st founding or even on Orders of the chapter master Von daylin him self but for what records do remain suggest that the gene seed of the chapter was from the Imperial fits. The chapter is a fleet based chapter its forces are often sent to different conflict zones to help were needed one the rear occasion the forces are deployed in full force when the threat is deemed necessary suck was the case the on 139.M41
When the 12th black crusade is launched by the War master Abaddon the Despoiler that almost half the chapter including the chapter master Him self took to the field to help defeat the Runes powers of chaos. The Chapter master von dayline has herd rumours of a Lost chapter relics in a near by system so he and his fleet have set cause to investigate the Rumour. Upon arrival the fleet finds a Old shrine world witch seems to be long since forgotten by man. Or so It had seemed upon making planet full the fleet found it self under attack from chaos cultists after a long and bloody conflict a chapter relic was fond a ancient power fist dating back to the later half of the age of strife.
Upon arriving back on his flag ship the battle barge ( the fire of phoenix) Sorry for the really long page of text I would like any feed back on both of thees bits of fluff please. Also sorry for my bad spelling.

I like the first idea best. It is generic, but has the underlying greatness all chapters strive for.

The second one (Von Daylin's Raiders) sounds a little more like a Chaos Warband (in my humble opinion) and the idea of them searching for a lost powerful relic and finding it makes me have flashbacks of my old Dungeons and Dragons days where every character just HAD to have a powerful artifact to base their adventures on and make them stand out more.

You have the potential to make the first idea stand out purely through battles and actions and do not need to center anything around a relic although adding one to the overall would not kill it as long as the focus is on the chapter and not the item.

One problem first off is that Forge Worlds are owned by the Admech, so would not reliquish control of it to a Chapter (examples of chapters who control a forge world, such as the Raven Guard are exeptions due to the face they were settled before the creation of the IoM). Most forge worlds would not need a chapter to defend it either withbthe fact that the Admech have massive armies and weapon stock.

Whilst it is reasonable that a Chapter would be stationed in the system if it was important to the IoM, the Admech (who are alsothe ones that create each new chapter) would not pick blood angel geneseed as they have little trust in them and would most likely choose iron hand geneseed.

I did not know that I am still thinking of what codex to use atm as the only two codex I own are space wolf and Blood angles I am thinking of buying the vanilla marine codex in the next few weeks also in the fluff I did not say they own the forge world they just help to protect it. few chapters would be trusted since the HH.

What ever you go for, don't paint them with silver bodies and pinky purple heads! Looks bad. The Enfield chapter? Hmm.. Do you live in north London? Go for a name that inspires greatness, emperors avengers, iron fists (fluff based on dorn) linked to iron hands and crimson fists.

the color scam I am using is right half is cantor blue and the left side is khorn red. I do live near North London I use to go to the GW there until it closed 7years back. Thankfully there is a new GW at Enfield.

Well the Admech would still not relinquish control over defence and a chapter would not want to be lapdogs being told what to do, that was more of the point I was raising.
