Deciding to get into salamanders as my first marine army ill buy, so here it goes
HQ
190-vulkan
TROOP
220- tac squad melta multi melta and combi melta in drop pod
210- tac squad with melta and multi melta in rhino
210- tac squad with melta and multi melta in rhino

It's fairly solid at 1500. A few notes to share would be: 1. 10 tac marines with melta, combi, and pod run at 210. 2. Salamanders are the most up close and personal style of vanilla, so you may want to consider all pods rather than rhinos, especially since they have no long range capabilities and first blood is very nearly always critical in 6th. 3. Land raiders are solid against most armies, but if you play someone with BA, DE, or Crons it may be good to swap it for another squad of hammernators and some extra upgrades. Other than that I believe your list is a solid marine & mech fighter, especially with the double vindicators for blob control. They're a staple to my average 1500 vulkan list.

Or you could simply get used to a polyvalent army and learn its strengths and weaknesses and not adapt your list to every single opponent you have ....
Apart from that, I agree with the comments even though it pains me to see a lack of flamers with Vulkan fielded, but that's just my love of *WOOSH* speaking (maybe roll with 1 Vindic & 2 Flamer Speeders to see if it's any good)

instead of the hammernators.... that leaves you 135 points to spend... (A 3rd vindicator?)
I would agree... all drop pods or all rhinos... 1 drop pod is just first blood points going to the enemy.

I quite like the list in very general terms.
I feel vindicators are a waste with Vulkan. If you need short ranged antiinfantry bring flamers, if you want short ranged antimech bring meltas, the vindicator role is mostly covered.
If they were predators I would very happy as meltas and flamers do not do long range and it is something Vulkan usually lacks but needs.
Combimeltas are awesome. Take them.
Your drop pod unit is a little weak. Tactical marines are just not killy enough to put that close to the enemy.
You can just about justify a land raider in a 1500 point Vulkan list but really it is a luxury. I would bring more meltas and flamer goodness before spending a third of your points on one unit.
Finally you will struggle against flyers. TL MM may be good enough, maybe ADLw ith quadguns else stormtalons do work.

Thank you for the comments! anti flying was my big worry. But this could sound bad and i havnt gotten to play test but the pod i was planning on poping 1 or 2 heavy armors. and cause i distraction where me vindis and and raider can move up with less fire going on them, although i do need to buy a few things and test it out.
