Hi all, I am hosting a tournament for my friends come Christmas time and I want to make sure the games are as smooth as possible.
It has been suggested to me that I remove certain game types (The Scouring) and introduce various scoring systems.
Also in terms of Fortifications, the FOR is apparently not kosher?

Any help you could give me in suggestions for taking things out, scoring, tournament format such as all play all or knockout etc etc would be much appreciated!
I've never done a tournament like this so it would be handy to have a little guidance!

Betwixt and Between's Bros 4-1-3 (1750pts)
Strike Force Icarus 24-2-15 (2000pts)
Prince Hiccup and his Merry Band of Caledor: 27-4-5 (4000pts)

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

As for other things.

Most war gaming tournies are not single elimination because it is more fun that way.

For Fortificaitons the reason most events disallow larger items like the FOR is because terrain is pre-placed leaving little space for such a large item, but depending on how you do terrain or placement it can be used.
