the plan is to put the lord, BSB and prophetess in the KoTR and the Questing Paladin and Damsel in the Questing Knights. the Damsel on foot goes into the Men@arms to give them a ward save and their job is to guard the trebuchet with the archers.

Any Advice is welcome for this army as I have only played 3 games with bretonnian and need to plan what models to buy next.
(BTW i have lost all 3 games due to 1) a powergaming high elf player with book of hoeth and 2) bad dice rolls against wood elves for charges 3) damn daemons lol)

A very minor point, the barding on the casters horses is not needed, as they currently deploy in the safety of the 2nd rank of a lance formation they don't require any further protection.

It should give you a couple more M@A

I'd say get a silver mirror in there as well as a dispell scroll. Also when using Virtue of heroism the Heroic Killing blow doesnt apply when using a magic weapon. i've never really been a fan of questing knights just because of the price and they always strike last. I'd much rather have a lance and hope i get the charge, go grails or more KotR. The other thing is with 9 KotR you are getting 7 attacks, which doesnt really utilize the lance formation as your opponent will get just as many if not more than you, and will likely strike before you as well. I always like to get atleast 12, but 15 is optimal.

actually HKB always applies following the Errata/FAQ as the virtues rule has been changed to

"The Model has the Heroic Killing Blow Rule" ... everything else regarding the Vow has been disregarded

15 Knights, in my opinion is less than optimal, that unit has a flank of 250mm (10") which would be perfect for a horde to charge and wipe the unit out, also would be a struggle to fit in the deployment zone

Thanks Carpe, at work and dont have access to the FAQ, brets are one of my stronger armies that I play but its been a while been on a wood elf and daemon kick recently.

For daemons sadly you really need braziers if they have nurgle, and grail knights. Grail Knights can eat daemons for breakfast.....except bloodletters. Bloodletters are lol I usually field about 50 in an army. The overall list is pretty good but I wouldn't take queting knights. 7 of them is not going to do a lot of damage, and since they always strike last and lack the benefits of a shield 3+ armour theres a 33.3% chance they are going to die when wounded on an average of 50% per successful hit. Against a bigger unit, or something with frenzy or 2 hand weapons it is unlikely they will stick around after the first round of blows are exchanged, they are just too expensive and fragile. Also keep in mind that since they are tough 3, with a 33% chance to fail armour, they are a target for arrows, and the arrows will do significant damage, especially is someone uses curse of arrow attraction or some other spell. Look at empire greatswords next to questing knights, half the points roughly 4+ save sure they arent mounted but you get the picture. You limit yourself by taking them.

cool i'll drop the questing knights, i'll prob stack more kotr and i think i may drop the level 1 damsel since the Men@arms will defend the trebuchet now i think.

Honestly Griffin55k, with the points saved from the removal of the Questing Knights you can field a very significant block of M@A. 39 with FC, this will also give you a good bunker for characters not on mounts, allowing damsels to get a little closer to the action without being in too much danger.

Well after my game today at 1600 point I have to.say that I love knights errant with errant banner. The 7 I had left killed 4 mournfang due to a flank charge which made them flee!

I've decided to loose the big unit of men at arms for a new tactic that I'm going to try out.... I'll test it then post a revised list on here
