I figure that there have to be some instrumentalists and/or vocalists on Dakka
What was the latest song you've learned?
For me as a guitarist/vocalist it's this:

It sounds really cool with male vocals

OP, you have excellent taste in music. As for the last song I learned, that would be Hot Cross Buns on the recorder. I learned it in elementary school music class.

I play piano quite well, yet the last song I learned was 'This Old Man'. I was teaching my girlfriend how to play.

I think it would be Bratja ~ Brothers from the Fullmetal Alchemist soundtrack. The last thing we did in my high school beginning guitar class was to pick any song in the world and learn it, then perform it in front of class. For some reason, I was just really into Fullmetal Alchemist at the time, so I picked my favorite song from the OST.

Note: I did not learn to sing the Russian vocals. Just the tune.

Twinkle twinkle little star on the cello. Just learned today b/c my cello teacher randomly flipped to a page and made me play. A 'pop quiz' if you will

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.

"I Am Glad, 'Cause I'm Finally Returning Back Home" on my tuba. There's no instrument that's more heavy and metal than a tuba, with the possible exception of an organ.

Pantera: Cemetery gates.
Van Halen: Panama
Mozart: rondo alla turca - it feels like it was made to be played on the high frets of an electric guitar.

I think that was the material that aggravated the wrist problems incurred by excessive weight lifting, now I have lost the muscle and can't spend enough time on the guitar to get any decent practice done. It's been over a year now.

@RossDas: I believe that, if Mozart were alive today, he would probably have composed that song on the electric guitar. Come to think of it, he would probably compose for that instrument quite a bit.

Wow, I really can't remember. I don't really learn other people's songs, as I write my own. Seriously, my repertoire of covers is pretty poor.

Probably something by the Smiths, or a soul tune of some description.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Okay, so the male version of "Cougar" is now officially "Albatross".
