Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!

‎"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

—Captain Khârn of the World Eaters Legion's 8th Assault Company, from his unpublished treatise The Eighteen Legions

Drop the dark magic level 4 for the peg lord.

Switch your BSB to the cauldron.

Drop the warriors to 20. And get a unit of corsairs. They are the core choice in the book that benefit from shadow magic the most.

Give your shades additional hand weapons.

Malifaux masters owned: Guild(Sans McCabe), Outcasts(Sans Misaki), Arcanists(Sans Marcus)

I'd also recommend dropping the assassins to take a unit of 20 BG with Musician and Banner of Murder.

I'm not keen on doubly hydra, but that isn't the biggest problem with the list so I can ignore it.

Things every DE competitive list should have:

lv4 Shadow w/ dagger
unkillable Peg lord
Cauldron BSB
sacrificial spearmen
Black Guard
Shades(at least 10)
Hydra
Harpies(at least 5)

Everything else can be tweaked or added in, but really those things are the overall mainstays of a DE army.

Things to not take:
Bolt Throwers
small units of Executioners
Large units of Witches
Assassins in general(manbane rending star is ok, but a lot of points for what it does).
