Hi
You may have Seen me on the 40k forums a little bit and I would like to learn LOTR. My friend and I are going 50/50 on the mines of Moria set, with me taking the fellowship. I was wondering what should I get next? Money is defiantly a limit. Thanks a lot.

as with any gamer, it depends which army or game style you like- any particular race take your fancy?
If not, what style of army do you like? Cavalry? Heavy infantry? Archer skirmishers?

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.
corpsesarefun: Thank god I missed be nice to shrike day.
greenskin lynn: because of all the skittles and soda, you basically live off sugar water, like some sort of freakish human-hummingbird hybrid.

If your thinking heavy infantry then might i suggest Isengard? Although I've got very little experience with them Uruk-hai are some of the toughest troops in the game.

Lotr sbg/Wotr Mordor army ~ - 2000pts.

High elf/eagle army (hobbit) ~ 1600pts. WIP.

I'd much rather fight uruks than easterlings- same defense as sheild warriors, but with pikes...
plus the characters are really annoying.
that is, if you want evil.
for good, dwarves are definitely the most heavily armoured army in the game, but lack cavalry or spears. Gondor are a fairly decent choice, pretty much the best ll-rounders.

Yeah, dwarves.
5" movement, with no spears or cavalry, but 9 point D7 troops are fun ^^

even uruk-hai need 6's to wound 'em...

Isengard if you feel like playing on the dark side, or Easterlings who also are nasty in combat. Both do the jobb well and will leave a trail of broken and bleeding foes in their wake.
If you dont feel like being evil you can always go along with dwarfs.
