Can you Pavane on overwatch and make a charging unit possible go out of range?. Pavane states that you "Roll to hit as normal". You would need a 6 of course for any effect.

"The Pavane of Slaanesh is a ranged weapon... roll to hit as normal." The Daemons codex has no psychic powers, only abilities. This one seems in every way to behave like a gun that merely does not inflict wounds.

Unless I am missing something this is a yes... and lol

Ok.. let me as the poster play devils advocate for a moment. (personal I think it still works.. but please prove me wrong)

During overwatch you must fire snap shots. Using the snap shot rules:

"Some weapon types, such as Template and Ordnance, or those that
have certain special rules, such as Blast, cannot be fired as Snap
Shots."

Now does Pavane qualify as a weapon under "those the have certain special rules" which would disqualify it from shooting overwatch. ???

As those special rules are never defined, by that stance can you fire Rapid Fire? Melta ? pulse Rifles?

So no, I say Pavane does not qualify

The "certain special rules" are special rules which say in their descriptions (as does blast) that it can't be fired as a Snap Shot.

Otherwise no shooting attack with any kind of special rule would be able to overwatch, which is clearly not right.
