I stupidly commissioned this guy to paint a 2k death company force based off gws website. He has been sporadic in responding and refuses to email progress pics of the project that started mid september. I feel like a noob for trusting this guy judstbased off his ebay feedback. I cant find gallerys on the web either...

Anyone kniw him?

Thanks for posting that pic. The painting style is quite interesting, almost a traditional impressionistic approach and I quite like it. All it needs is the bright green paint in the lines...

the style does not work as well on the Land Raider, but the Heldrake is nice. Lighting on the Razorwing is weak/lazy

That said, the "halo" around the piece makes me think that some photoshopping, perhaps a filter, was done to that photo which would concern me if I were interested in buying the piece.

He ripped me off for $200 about 5 years ago.

He had some falcons painted with a harlequin design on them and I paid for 2 of them. It you notice you are not buying the models, but commissions. So what happened was that he strung me along until it was after the time that you can receive a refund from PayPal.

The listing says "doom scythe as pictured" and "will ship within 20 days". I believe if these terms are not met, you can just open an ebay case, get the money back and negative feedback him. Still, if that's indeed a commission, it's certainly not listed very clearly as such, and I'd be kind of pissed off if I'd buy one.

I don't like the paint schemes, and if he was legit... I would call it... "high tabletop, and probably wouldn't pay those prices.

Like lunahound says, it doesn't look that great zoomed in. Which means that across the table it's going to look good...

But I still wouldn't do it... just me though..

I actually paid mid september & last friday i placed the cxl via paypal....then today the guys grandfather calls me and says he died nov 6th..... i called ebay & paypal & they closed dispute and refunded me.....

What Luna means is that you made this thread and asked if you should do business with him long after you apparentl already did & paid him

And the obituary in the link you provided says the grandparents are all dead too, so Idk who called you then.....

How did he die, I mean his all well and doing commissions and out of no where he just dies? That is so weird.

The first few weeks, sept/oct he was emailing verbal updates. Then he apparently collapsed oneday and was in the hospital. He emailed that info and saidhe would continue the project. He mentioned he was a single dad with M.S. Then a couple weeks went by and nothing... I googled thename and found the obit....but that was all.....
