Small Wyrm of Slaanesh

Melburrrrrnnn

Hey,

Running a slaaneshi chaos lord and having trouble deciding what CC weapon to give him. He has a sigil of corruption and MoS. list is fairly shooty with the lord and his marines in a rhino, and 6 bikes making up the forward CC push.
problem I have is this:
Giving him a power weapon is inadequate; he deserves a higher strength and lower AP weapon to really deal some hurt.
However, the mark of slaanesh means that spending 25 points on a power fist makes the 15 points spent on the mark somewhat redundant.
Twin lighting claws are an alternative, but spending 15 points just to gain an extra attack is a little too much for my liking.
Murder sword is great, but only that great against one IC. so it's very situational.
Black mace is also pretty good, but only AP4 and VERY expensive.

Can people suggest options? I have been struggling with this since the new codex came outjavascript:emoticon('');. I think other people would also benefit from a Chaos Lord discussion.

I can testify that I'd like some input on this as well. I've got a Slaaneshi Chaos Lord with a power lance, plasma pistol, aura of dark glory, and wings, but I just can't help but feel like that power lance is only going to be decent on the charge, and even then...

I just really wish we could still take generic daemon weapons, like the Blissgiver, Bloodfeeder, etc. The old codex was far from perfect, but I did enjoy the equipment options it gave.

Slaneesh may seem fun now, but when you find yourself in bed with a he-goat and several implements of pain, you'll know you've gone too far. -Emperor's Faithful

Can you buy two power weapons? I suppose it doesn't say you can't buy items twice.

If you don't mind the cost:

Fist + Lighting Claw is the most versatile loadout and not too expensive (considering what you are getting).
The LC is great at I6 and the rerolls, while the fist gets you the AP2 and for heavy weight hitting when you need it.

Else, just keep him cheap with a power weapon of some kind, focus the points elsewhere in the army.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
